Pleo The Candidate . . . In 2008!!!

Let's start a grass roots movement now . . before the February Primaries get too close.

I think Pleo would make a GREAT president! Some of his qualities include:
Non-partisan
No pre-concieved notions or political agenda
No relationship with various lobbyists or special interest groups
(except maybe paleontologists and Ugobe)
Willingness and ability to learn
Ability to stop before going off the deep end
Ethics include working hard with lots of rest and relaxation
Definitely believes in the "green" values
Appeals to voters of all ages

Okay all of you folks out there more clever than I . . . we need a campaign slogan! A platform (or would that be nest?), etc.

And campaign buttons would be great!

The White House, and the rest of Washington DC, is already a jungle: as in "be careful -- it's a jungle out there." LOL

And that's all the further I will take any political discussions .... ;)

Pleo is apolitical -- he loves everybody, and engenders love from everybody. That's what would make him such a winning candidate. :D

I don't know, pleoguy101, I think maybe *you* should train for the position of translator. After all, you will have lots and lots of time with Pleo -- and you will be able to tell how he gets along with the plush dino as well as Pancake. So you will have an edge, because you will already know how he communicates with someone of a "different language." That's an important international skill. ;)

PS Can I ask you a personal favor, pleoguy101? I have an eye condition called astigmatism, and it is not entirely correctable with glasses. It causes blurring of print, to a small degree. It is just enough that certain patterns, like multiple exclamation points, seem to move (this: !!!!!!!!!) making me a little bit dizzy and queasy. If you would do only a maximum of three exclamation points in a row (this: !!!), it would really help me a lot. I would so appreciate it! Thanks for understanding. :)

Well, we are really making progress: We have pleoguy101 as a translator, who will aid roschler in his efforts to psychoanalyze our Pleos -- and now mweed has officially hung out the sign, offering to whisper the Pleos well.

With such capable backup and support, the Pleos are probably ready to hit the campaign trail.

Let's see ... what could I do to help? I know! I'll open up a "relaxation clinic." Here they will get back rubs, soothing and uplifting conversation, music to dream by, a soft bed, and invigorating recharges. They can come early in the morning, before they hit the trail. We'll call it "The Morning Joy Clinic," AM-joie for short. :p

Well, here's a good spin: He's only "sold out" with regards to Ugobe. And since his platform is based on a true Ugobian Society, he *should be* sold out to such wonderful high ideals!

But, as far as the rest of the merchants, he is non-biased and fully available, regardless of location in the United Sector (and making documented strides with negotiations in the Sector at Large).

Actually, I see no problem at all. I think we can take full advantage of this, and make it part of a very effective slogan: Pleo -- "sold out" to the true Ugobian Ideal! Elect Pleo, our Leader in Ugobian Society!

Well, the first one I thought about is AIBO. Intelligent, cute, will get a BIG portion of the robotic vote. We would have to watch a tendency to buck the party line, though ... AIBOs tend to be a little independent.

But then I wondered -- is intelligence a big factor for a running mate? Maybe, an iCybie? Dutiful, will stick with the party line. Cute, but in a "stay in the background" way. On the other hand, not very popular these days. So, maybe not.

Then there is the Robo-xxx set. A bit militant. But, there is a constituency that would appreciate those tendencies. It might balance out the obvious pacifist bias of our main candidate. Which Robo-xxx do you think might be the most likely to follow the party line, despite being somewhat militant?
