Yes. They are working on it. They have been so busy trying to fullfill orders.

You are correct ugobe doesn't fill the orders the manufacturer in china does. Right now I would think their main goal was to fill the intial surge of batteries for preorders of pleos. Remember that the manufacturer has other customers to keep happy besides Ugobe.

There are no additional batteries avaiable so far, but they are planned and could be there in the next months or even weeks.

Yes, it would be good to have extra batteries. I just have my Pleo which is called DutchPleo (how original). How long does Pleo normally work on this battery. So far, I think after 2 hours he already stops. How is this with other Pleo users?

I can't wait for the extra batteries to come out either! I hope they will also sell extra chargers though. After all, unless you have more than one charger, it would be impossible to keep Pleo on constantly, unless you charged them all a day ahead of time.:D

Remember that Pleo gets hot. One or maybe two extra batteries are more than enough. If you keep him on TOO long, you will overheat him. He DOES need time to be off and cool down. IMO, probably one hour between batteries.

My pleo lasts about an 1-2 hours. I have not sat and timed him yet but his battery only take 2 hours and 20 mins which is quite cool. So I get my time out of him which is so cool. None of this four hour buisness so not much waiting for me. Te he he

I went to the pleo twitter page from the community page here on PleoWorld.com. In the listing on the twitter page, was a link to the Taiwanese version of the pleoworld site. Now, I can't read a single character of chinese, but I can tell you that when Ugobe starts selling extra batteries and chargers, I want the Taiwanese charging base!

It appears (based on the very rough google translation of the web page), that 500 of the pleos sent to Taiwan received this special version. U.S. First Hatch's got a gold card and free upgrade on shipping. Taiwan first shipment got Li-polymer batteries & egg charger. That's why I'm hoping that if they work well in that test market, when Ugobe starts selling extra batteries, this will be an option we can get!

I finally got my Pleo! I got him for $284 off ebay brand new which wasn't too bad i guess but then theres shipping but all in all it'll cost cheaper than to but it here in Ireland! anyways I was wondering can you get extra batteries for Pleo???

I feel for you I had a pleo but his neck was broke when he arrived. Ugobe had me send him back to them now I'm waiting for them to send me the new one. I suspect I have 5 days to wait also. :eek:

Yes, I contacted Ugobe sometime ago. The projection date for extra batteries is June.

They will be pricey ($50). I suggested a discount coupon for Pleo members, I never heard back from them.

I also suggested at $50 a battery system that runs longer, no reply.

Yeah this is not $100 but for an extra hour of run time is $50 worth it ?

Does anyone else feel this way ?
