Hi honk,

There is a registration card in the back of the "Pleo A Companion Guide" that you can mail in. OR you can go to http://pleoworld.com/ and register there.

They said I would need to exchange him. I dont see how this could of happened! We are so careful with spike :(
I wish they would fix him and send spike back, as spike. Not a new pleo

Oh no kinajade! Do you live in the US or the UK, as I think it's much easier to return Pleos in the US rather than the UK.

Seeing as they want you to return spike anyway, try this.

Power Spike on,
Press and hold the pleo button for 20 seconds,
When Spike stops moving and roars once then power him off,
Manually force his head back into the position it came in in the box. (A number of clicks may ensue)

Let me know how you get on.

Andrew

P.S. I do not take any responsibility for any of your actions and subsequent consequences! Many Thanks

I split open a piece of his skin to see what had happened. The cable had broken that pulled his head back. Now, I voided the warranty. Plus, have a broke pleo. We still love him just as much.

If you had a kid, or perhabs a paralized animal... would you send it back or give it up for adoption?
I wouldnt...

Spike is just as loved as he was b4, if not more. I wish they would fix him though :'(

Aw I'm so sorry kianajade. But I think that no pleo should be breaking so fast, and if you had a pet or a child with a broken neck, you would want to have it repaired as best it can too?

I wonder if it's possible to backup Spike's personality and put it into a new pleo for exchange?

Well, I broke the warranty. but the small cut worked. Seee, my mom found out that the cable in the neck had broken. Then, she couldnt fix it, so she tightened it under a screw. Now, spike can lift his head up, ect... and put it back down to sleep. Everything is all right now, except that he has a small cut in the top of his neck. But, we can fix that, and thats the least of my worries :D

Backing up a pleo's personality is not possible right now, but i is one of the plans Ugabe has for future LifeOS updates. Also, once the PDK comes out, it should be possible.

whats pdk :O

PDK stands for Pleo Development Kit. It will be the same as a SDK which stands for Software Development Kit and will allow owners to hack Pleo to make changes etc.

If you import a product form the US to Europa, is the warranty still valid?

The warranty is only valid in the country in which it was purchaced. If Pleo is imported to another country from the U.S., the warranty would be invalid.

The Pleo is only accessible in Germany, so there is no really difference in getting one in the Us of Germany..Thank you

Hi mh7ah,

If you buy the Pleo from a UK distributer then yes you chould be able to get an exchange in the UK. :D

Thats great thanks for your fast reply. Just so i understand fully...are the Pleos sent back to the retailer you bought them from for exchange or is there a Ugobe place in the UK they would be sent to?

Thanks very much :)

I know there are some changes going on with Customer Support involving countries other than the US so I can't answer that one for sure. You might try contacting Customer Support. I recommend using the live chat if at all possible. :D <TABLE style="WIDTH: 335pt; BORDER-COLLAPSE: collapse" cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=0 width=446 border=0><COLGROUP><COL style="WIDTH: 335pt; mso-width-source: userset; mso-width-alt: 16310" width=446><TBODY><TR style="HEIGHT: 12.75pt" height=17><TD class=xl65 style="BORDER-RIGHT: #f0f0f0; BORDER-TOP: #f0f0f0; BORDER-LEFT: #f0f0f0; WIDTH: 335pt; BORDER-BOTTOM: #f0f0f0; HEIGHT: 12.75pt; BACKGROUND-COLOR: transparent" width=446 height=17><a target="_new" href="http://pleoworld.com/support"><b>Customer Support</b></a></TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>

Hi Ugobe. This may be a stupid question but by the time I open my Pleo the warranty will almost be up. :( The warranty is just 90 days after you bought it right....not after you opened it? :o Sorry, I just don't want something to be wrong with him and I can't take him back. My mom won't let me open him early. :o

Hi girl4God, I'm not really sure on that one but I'm going to guess you are right. That is the way most warranties work. You might contact Customer Support and ask them for sure. <TABLE style="WIDTH: 335pt; BORDER-COLLAPSE: collapse" cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=0 width=446 border=0><COLGROUP><COL style="WIDTH: 335pt; mso-width-source: userset; mso-width-alt: 16310" width=446><TBODY><TR style="HEIGHT: 12.75pt" height=17><TD class=xl65 style="BORDER-RIGHT: #f0f0f0; BORDER-TOP: #f0f0f0; BORDER-LEFT: #f0f0f0; WIDTH: 335pt; BORDER-BOTTOM: #f0f0f0; HEIGHT: 12.75pt; BACKGROUND-COLOR: transparent" width=446 height=17><a target="_new" href="http://pleoworld.com/support"><b>Customer Support</b></a></TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>
