I want to thank Ugobe for the large financial risk they've taken in producing an autonomous robotic toy at a price per feature level that up until now is practically unheard of.

Many of us who've been pining for a true robot of any kind are now finally able to afford one.

I've liked the idea of having my own robot since Heathkit came out with the HERO and now that dream is realized.

Sure Pleo is just a precurser of things to come but I'm amazed at the capabilities it does have.

Oh sure, earlier this year I bought a Roomba vacuum, but it has little personality and interaction with me is limited to bump and runs. :)

Thanks Ugobe.

I second that....They have done a great job and have kept the price fairly reasonable too. I hope Ugobe has good luck with all their endeavors in the future! :)

...yes, UGOBE ROCKS! I, my husband, cat, and dog, and co-workers think PLEO is the best robot they've ever seen or interacted with or heard of. Even so, in the future, PLEO will be able to upgrade and/or hacked (unlike Aibo, which is a sophisticated METAL dog, and is three to five times as expensive for a robotic pet). UGOBE's on the right track! When are you going public, UGOBE? I want to invest!!!

Funny. I also bought a Roomba a month ago, and became so fascinated with robotics that I searched for more products in this direction. That's how I found out about Pleo.

Yeah, I got curious too so I went looking. Several companies make robotic lawn mowers. I'd love a robotic lawn mower since my disability makes mowing the lawn a real chore even with my small riding mower.

I also discovered a company that makes a robotic roof gutter cleaner.

There's some cool stuff out there.
