Hello Pleo World,

Maybe I'm just tired this morning, but when I try to embed a YouTube video, it's showing up as HTML instead of showing the video. See:

mweed,

If you have triplets they'll be just like these:

<object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/POVFepuGoic&rel=1"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/POVFepuGoic&rel=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object>

Am I doing something wrong?

At the botton of the page under posting rules, it says HTML code is turned OFF, which means the vbulletin software isn't processing the HTML code. You may have to check with the web admins.

mweed,

Thanks for that. They must have changed something though because it used work.

Pleo World staff?

We're checking it out. It does appear that some forums have HTML enabled and others don't. So if you posted a video before it was probably one that had HTML enabled. LOL Hopefully we'll have this rectified very shortly. :D

The problem was found and hopefully HTML is now possible in all forums. If you find any that are not accepting HTML please post the forum name here and we'll check into it.

Sorry for the inconvenience and thank you for bringing this to our attention.

I'm having this problem now. It's the second time I've had difficulty having the plog display the embed code from YouTube. I tried about 5 times the other day before it "took". Now I'm having the same thing happen today. The message begins with Video (embed code)--or something like that. Then it says it is not a proper embed code. And then it asks for the HTML. The video is still on YouTube but not on the plog :(

Hmmm? First of all I'd check the embed code on YouTube. I'll be honest and say I don't know much about YouTube but is it possible that the embed code is wrong there?

Also make sure that all the info from the embed has been copied.

Is anybody else having problems with this on Plogs today? If so I'll escalate the problem for resolution.

omg. i have no clue if an embed code is correct. when this happened the other day, i just kept copying it from several ways to access the video. it finally took later in the day. i'll keep trying. as soon as you click in the embed code, the whole thing is highlighted for copying, so i know it's all there. but the language does change on the plog! thanks for your help :D

ok. i started a new plog entry instead of trying to add the video to yesterday's plog entry. the language on the new plog entry says like: Add video (click for embed code). it worked this time.

but if i go to EDIT the previous entry to add the video, it says something about the HTML code. is that a boo boo?

Thank you for all the additional info, I'll escalate this up so they can check it out. :D
