I often have parties with about 10-20 people. I am sure people will want to see my Pleo but I am concerned it may be a bad experience with loud noises and abuse it might receive at a party, when I'm not looking. I am curious what uGobe's recommendation is for Pleo at parties: Should I turn it off and put it in my closet or let it be a Party Animal?

The noise of the convention didn't seem to bother the Pleo. I suppose it might hinge on what you mean by "abuse."

Maybe Pleo could just make an appearance, under your careful supervision, and after that he could retire for the night to "sleep off" his exhausting experience.

amjoie, good answer. I would take care of Pleo at a party the same way I would take care of him any other time. If someone was being mean to Pleo or physically abusing him I would put him away.

Roschler, I can't imagine anyone being stupid enough to show any meanness to a baby dinosaur while in your presence. I can feel you bristling just at the mere thought, all the way from here. LOL

I can see it all now: roschler with a star on his chest, putting his big hand on someone's shoulder, at the first Pleo get-together, and saying in a low but commanding tone, "No one twists a Pleo leg at this get-together -- that's the law!"

Actually I'd just introduce them to Pleo's Daddy, a full size 40 ton Camarasaurus and suggest they try twisting his leg. :)

I'm not sure I'd want to see a roomful of pleo doing the macarena... :eek:

One of the earlier articles said Pleo could "dance the samba" which I used to list on my Pleo tricks (http://pleohq.com/faq/what-tricks-can-pleo-learn/) page, but I was asked to take it down.

Not sure why it was omitted from the core behaviors but I hope some dances get whipped up with with the Pleo Development Kit (PDK) (http://pleohq.com/faq/can-i-program-pleos-behavior/). Figure the cha-cha would be easy enough!

ok, that would be weird:) , but maybe like in that one pleo vidio, he was doing the wave, somthing like that.:D

ohh the samba!!:) i like your pleo tricks vidio on your site but theres another one on you tube. sorry, I just couldn't get it on here. so if you want to see it type in pleo on you tube and its one of the many pleo vidios there!!! no.. wait you have the vidio i'm talking about, its on pictures and vidios on the bottom of your post, i just looked back and saw it!!

Once the Pleos arrive, I'll have to get my daughter to do a Pleo modeling photo shoot, so I can post photos of all eight necklace sets (four male/female sets are done, four to go yet) because I probably won't make it to a Pleo party.

[I also glued some small beads to a pair of Barbie Doll gold colored tiaras. So if I can make them stay on with the clear stretchy thread, my Pleos will have little tiaras, to go with the rest of the Crown Jewels (all of which will be kept in a four tier plexiglass jewelry box, so it is easy to change their necklaces every day.)]

I guess I'll be giving my Pleos the "royal treatment." LOL

When you do have a fashion show at the first official Pleo party, please take photos of it. I would really love to see that. :D

I'v been thinking about doing an wrestling style entrance video for my two pleos Hall & Nash. The NPO either your with us or against us.

how about a costume pleo party so every one will make a costume to his pleo and come to the party then tern the pleos on.
