Which got me thinking. I know using the image of Pleo on a t-shirt or any other item is a big copyright no-no. I am guessing the name is off limits too. Just thinking in the future, if Ugobe doesn't go with the idea of making stuff for Pleo owners if owners would be allowed to make or have a t-shirt made (via a place like Cafe.press) with one of those saying, no image. Just curious.
But then I am also wondering, it is a big no-no to use an image from this website or others of Pleo. What if I took my OWN photo of the Pleo I purchase and put it on a t-shirt on Cafepress.com. That would probably still be bad. But I am not a lawyer and I don't need to be getting sued or anything. Just curious. I would love to see Ugobe make such things though :)

Thought of another t-shirt idea. Can't believe I didn't think of it earlier.

Front of the shirt would say:
Three Laws of Ugobe Life Forms:

* A life form must feel and convey emotions
* A life form must be aware of itself and its environment
* A life form must learn, develop, evolve over time

And the back would have Pleo.

Another t-shirt idea is to have Pleo straight on and the back of the shirt showing Pleo's rear end :)

It would make good and cheap advertising for Ugobe. Have a bunch of Pleo owners wearing t-shirts, ball caps, totebags, etc. People would ask them, "What's a Pleo?" or "Who is Pleo?" and it would get the word out there. Word of mouth is the best, cheapest advertising there is.

Your welcome and thank you for the compliments. I can't take credit for the phrases, I just stole them off dog breed bumper stickers and t-shirts and inserted Pleo there instead :D

But I really feel the Pleo shirts will help to sell more Pleos. I know I will buy several for myself and my daughter. So whether we have Pleo with us or not, we are wearing them.

I did ask them about the copyright issue on making my own T-shirts. You can use the word "Pleo", but NOT the image for your own PERSONAL use. You can NOT sell any shirts or other items with the Pleo name. So Cafepress.com is out of the question since 3rd parties can buy from it. But you can always buy blank t-shirts and iron on transfer printer paper to make your own. So I plan to see what Ugobe rolls out on Monday and buy some of those and what ones I or others thought of I like, I'll make those myself :)

And I also plan and highly recommend that if you do plan on making your own t-shirts, be sure to put the website address for Pleo! The pleoworld.com or ugobe.com. That way if people don't ask you about it, they are sure to remember the URLs to check it out when they get home!

I raise exotic birds (Parrots) and our normal saying is "Poop Happens, There's a book about it" we are all familiar with the children's book "Everybody Poops" well we could have a shirt that says, "Not Everybody Poops" and have a picture of Pleo. Well, I FINALLY did it. I went to Customizedgirl.com and made/bought some Pleo stuff.

T-shirt for me that says, "Pleo Everything else is just a toy". The back of the shirt has www.pleoworld.com :D
Also made a ball cap that says "Got Pleo?"
Made a shirt for my daughter that reads "My Pleo ate my homework!", with the Pleo World URL
And lastly, I made a pull strong backpack that says, "Ask me about my Pleo" with the Pleo World URL.

I am a one woman mission to educate the world about Pleo. We will be wearing all this stuff to Mega-Con in March. Wish I could get an extra battery before then....Please, please....really wish I could have one. Will anyone rent me one? LOL I am just gonna be so mad when he does run out of power and I won't be able to show anyone what he does. Especially wearing all those clothes with Pleo on it. Ugobe, please, can I purchase/borrow an extra battery early? :(

Like I said, I'd rent one. LOL. I'll even send collateral! Like one of my beloved signed DVDs or books ;) Seriously, if someone can get me a battery I can borrow that day, I would absolutely be so happy. And send it right back Monday morning. I only need it for March 7th. Knowing how Mega-Con folk are, they will be severely disappointed. Not to mention, once the battery dies and Alexia and I are still walking around wearing all the Pleo stuff, people are gonna ask to see it and I'll put out a dinosaur statue. Talk about a let down :( I know Mega-Con attendees and guests would love Pleo. And 1 hour is no where near enough time there. Universal is okay because we do it mostly for photo ops. But with Mega-Con, people pay attention to people there. So Pleo will be on and off a lot all day.

well you can send the battery back to UGOBEwhen your done, is this convention your going to going to be in the news paper, TV, anything like that? that would be more the reason to giive you an extra battery:)!! and plus, if a movie company knew you were helping them out by telling everyone how awsome the movie was, they might give you a DVD;) UGOBE will know your helping them advertise for free, they might give you an extra battery to borrow:)!!
