Hello Pleo World,
As you can tell I can log in successfully to the forum. But when I try my username and password on the Plog entry screen, it says invalid login.
Thanks.

Hi Pleo forum moderators.
I tried to open a Plog account using my forum user name but my forum user name is one letter too short. The Plog requires a minimum six character user name.
Is there a way to over ride the user name restriction so I can continue to use my forum name for the Plog area?

Is it possible to have the PleoWorld admin change the forum userid to make it longer? It appears there are several people with short forum IDs.

You guys should be able to use your Forums username and passwords just fine...you just need to go through the process of "registering" a PleoWorld account with them. Try it out and let us know how that works.

I have an underscore in my forum name, but pleoworld won't let me have non-alphanumeric characters. I had to register separately and take out the '_'.

Hey Pleologist! I think you're posting about the 1970 thing, right? It's a funny quirk of our bulletin board that hte first time you log in with a new username, it thinks the first time you were around was 1970 - which was when Unix (the system that this website runs on) was created.
It's a ridiculous quirk that we know about and are planning to address at some point in the future. In any case, it will only show up on the first time you post.

I accidentally went to the Plogs section first and couldn't get in. I re-registered using my same forum info and that worked fine. Then I went to the forum and it asked me to sign in. My my old ID still worked. A little backwards, I guess, but that's the kind of day I'm having! LOL!

Yes, you can use your username and password from the forums, but you have to go through the registration process. There are instructions for forums members once you click http://www.pleoworld.com/mypleo/register to join the community.
Usernames for the Plogs now only have to be at least 3 characters long.
Usernames for the Plogs can now include underscores. (There may be a couple of other symbols in the future, but we have to be careful which ones we let people use.)
