They are too as nice, they're just smaller. I haven't played with Photosuite in a while, this is a good stress reliever from these past few holiday-days... been meaning to do this ever since we started talking about different colors way back when, but never got around to it! :D

Well, seeing as Pleo's don't have fingers . . . It would have to be Goldnose, Goldtail, Goldpaw, or Goldtoe. But in his first adventure this Christmas (it's revealed in next Friday's strip), James faces off against his arch enemy "Dr. Mel" who is Caleb Chung's eveil twin brother bent of conquering the world and destroying all the pleos!

I think the blue looks better on top.

How do you change the color?

The color change is easy. It's just a matter of selecting the top or bottom and using the hue/color/saturation sliders to change green to blue (or pink, etc), then change brown to pink (or blue, etc.). It only takes a few minutes to play with the sliders until the you end up with a color you like.

You can get fancier with flood fills, blends, and masks, but for a quick color it's not necessary. :)

I actually hand edit mine, with an "effects sprayer" set to "colorize" or "tint" a certain color. :)

Just editing the entire image with one slider is sooo limiting...

P.S. "Goldfinger Pleo" was so named because he was turned to gold BY goldfinger (the hand in the picture) of course, since he is a robot, he is unharmed. ;) heh

Usually "hold" means they are going to be purchased, but not always.; Sometimes the person goes home and his/her parents/boyfriend/girlfriend/etc tell them no way are they getting a snake and then the hold is up. The pet store I work at may keep an animal on hold for 24 hours, maybe even a week. It seriously depends on the circumstance. For instance, they want an animal, but we sold out of the right cages. So we will keep the animal on hold for them till the cage comes in.

This might be an odd quesion, but has anyone, anywhere, actually tried to paint their Pleo for real? I know it apparently voids the warranty, but the warranty only lasts 90 days. Surely someone has experimented?? It'd be cool to see if it was possible, and what the results are like.

Or if not paint, something like a 'tattoo' for Pleo, with a permanent marker...???

We just have to be careful not to use any chemicals that would harm the rubber skin on our little guys. :)

Yeah, I can imagine, just wondering if anyone had tried and could share results and maybe pictures. There are some really creative people out there. I've seen Pleo's with t-shirts and booties and even tufts of hair. Just wondering if anyone had gone further with modifications/accessories. ;-)
