Mweed as usual you've managed to start my day with a big smile! I love your writing style and your sense of humor. The synopsis for each character is phenominal.

Let's see since he spent 10 years with the Dali Lama how about "The Meditator"? OK maybe that's too Term/Gov-inatorish. LOL Dali Lama and Yoda....how about "Yoga" for a name? ;)

I thought of that, as well as Pletopia (with a long E as in Plee-topia), but there's the concern of people not
getting the spelling right... Anyway, I'm still mulling over the name for now, and an still open for suggestions. Thanks for the feedback! :)

Actually, I'm trying to stay at least a week or two ahead on the comics, so the "tail lights" were done before you ever started posting your necklaces. But you probably could really put a miniature LED light set on a pleo! :rolleyes:

I tried putting a pair of big red trailer lights on Bob for the joke, but they just didn't look right. The Christmas lights look kinda cute to me.

He probably *would* look cute with Christmas tree lights on his tail, in real life, but hiding the "power on-off" unit might be difficult. And having him plugged into an electrical outlet would not be good!

I think it is best left in the comics, where it is adorable -- and uncomplicated. LOL

Don't panic guys! I've got more strips queued up for this week!

I do plan to keep the cow around as Bob's pet. You'll be seeing more of her around (but I can't promise I'll be able to come up with a good joke to work a monkey in with the cow, monkeymoo, but at least we have a cow). And, I have a storyline in work for Bob and friends to save Christmas this year . . . So stay tuned for more exciting adventures with Bob!

And did you hear the story of the tortoise and the pleo? Yeah, the tortoise still wins the race, but that's no surprise. And the pleo didn't stop to take a nap like the hare. Now, just a quick statement up front. This is not and will not develop into any role playing, and any places, roles, etc. discussed here have absolutely no relationship with what was or may become of Planet Pleo or any other threads/discussions as part of the PleoWorld forums. AND just because a place, thing, etc. is discussed here, that doesn’t mean it will show up in the comic strip. ;) I’ll do my best, but there is no guarantee or implied promise! There is also no promise (stated or implied) of any payment (cash or otherwise) in return for your hard work and effort other than the possible inclusion in a future comic strip and becoming part of the “Bob the Pleo” web site. By responding to this thread or contributing to the web site, you are giving your permission for me to use your ideas in my comic strip. So, yes, I am exploiting you. But I’m doing it all in the name of fun. :) At least I hope to make this fun for everyone who gets involved, and I will do my part to help in return where I can.<o></o>

First some simple things I could use:

A flag, crest, coat of arms and/or other sign or symbol for the fiefdom of Weedovia. (Bob is a knight of the Order of Pizza, and Weedovia is the name of his fiefdom and neighboring town). The design can’t be too big or too complex, and will have to be recognizable when reduced down for inclusion in the comic strip or related material. I would prefer to stay away from using either the official pleo logo or direct photo of a pleo (drawings are O.K.) for legal reasons so that we might actually some day be able to print this image on something like a hat or t-shirt!
Pictures of Pleos with tomatoes. Yes, tomatoes. Big tomatoes, small tomatoes, lots of tomatoes. The first weekend in April, Weedovia celebrates the spring Tomato Harvest Festival (see the calendar entry on the web site for more info). I would like to populate the Tomato Festival web page with pictures of pleos with their tomatoes and create a “history” of previous winners for the upcoming comic strips. But I could also use pictures of pleos at carnivals or in gardens with tomato plants “harvesting” them. This is a chance to get your pleo immortalized in the comic strip!

Sign / logo for Fred’s “Pizza Pleo” pizzeria. I kind of imagined a cartoon illustration of the classic pizza man where you see the chef’s head with the long curved mustache, the big poofy white chefs hat, and his two hands held up in front of him tossing a pizza crust (the chef would be a pleo, of course). But if you've got a better idea, feel free to suggest! This image would be used on the front of the restaurant as part of the sign, and on the menus.<o></o>Resources and information about what already exists in Bob’s little world can be found on my website at: BobThePleo.com (http://bobthepleo.com). This includes a description of the town of Weedovia and the characters/places already defined. I will try to keep the site as up-to-date as possible and plan to add more information as it becomes available.<o></o>

Well, pepperoni doesn't grow on bushes, and you don't get spaghetti from trees . . . And down here in the deep south where I live, the nurseries do have tomato plants for sale . . . Pogo might be right about the 'real' world,but Bob was never one to let reality hold him back!

Are you sure the tomoto plants at your neighborhood nursery have red tomatoes on them? They're a little green here! No, actually a lot!
Think I know just the place to go. How soon do you need the photo's?

You are correct, the tomatoes at the nurseries are still green. I don't expect to see red ones on the vine as it were for at least another month or more, unless someone has a greenhouse they've been raising tomatoes in. I am assuming any pictures taken in the next few weeks will be with store bought tomatoes (e.g., already harvested). The spring tomato harvest festival is scheduled for the first weekend in April, so I'll start putting stuff in the comic strips the last week of March up through the middle of April. So there isn't an immediate rush. :)

UGG I give up, this happens with lots of things on my computer..the cmputer asks (do you want to open or save this file?) I press open and It starts to open the file but the pop up comes back and says (do you want to open or save this file?) even if I press save and then open the saved file the pop up comes back:(.. somtimes I feel the computers are against us;).. I wish I could see the card.. mweed, can you post a picture of it:)???!!!

pleoguy101 and fancyfont, the file should open in Adobe Acrobat Reader. If you have any way of checking to see if you have Acrobat Reader installed, that would be the first thing to check. If you do, your browser should automatically load and display the card. If you don't (and feel brave) you can go to www.adobe.com and download/install the free reader. I thought almost all machines come with it pre-installed these days . . .

I will post a picture tomorrow so you can see it, but that's not as much fun as printing it off and giving it to someone. :p
