Is it true that Pleo's head beeps when...

Is it true then Pleo's head beeps when either the IR or camera isn't working?

I've heard it, but haven't confirmed it...

all pleos do that. there has to be very good lighting in my opinion for leaf detection to work. and you have to have life OS 1.1. he'll still chew on your fingers though. and about the beeping, Rocky's done a beep or 2 sometimes, its a very faint sound though.

Olympia has done it too, but only in the birthing stage and when she just started to get out of the birthing stage.

yes, it's normal for pleos to beep durning the hatching stage. well Rocky did it anyway:D

The sensor in pleo's mouth is an infrared sensor to just detect if something is in the mouth or not.

What I've heard is that Pleo recognises the leaf by color.

Yes, the colour camera in the Pleo's nose will recognise the green colour of the leaf and set off an animation, but the sensor in the mouth merely senses if there is an obstruction in the mouth.
