If I were Caleb, I would have allowed the Pleos to speak in Furbish IR signals.

I didn't know Furbys had IR signals. I have a couple Furbys but they are pretty old and I remember seeing a TV commercial for a new Furby. So are you guys talking about the new Furbys or the old Furbys?

The old FUrbys are the ones with the big Ir trabsmitters over their eyes.

Oh Yeah The Wierd Heart/ Petal Shape.
I Remeber I Use To Have A Gizmo It Was By The MNakers Of Furby And It Was Realy Cool,
It Used To Interact Realy Good But Then The Batterys Ran Out And It Got Lefyt In The Garage Lol,
Its Needed 6 Batterys!

Yeah I remember that shape above the eyes I think it was actually a paw-print or something.

No, there were two different shapes for the Ir sensor. There was the weird fan thingee, and there was the heart. I always thought that that was a way to tell their genders apart. Come to think of it, I have never actually seen a Furby with the heart.

I mean the original Furbys, plus a few of their immediate offshoots like Gizmo and Yoda that could communicate with them. Here's a Furby image that shows the IR sensor. It's the area above and between the eyes.

I have Gizmo (the character from Gremlins), and he is able to talk to my two Furbys. He looks like this:

In order for the Furbys and/or Gizmo to be able to talk to each other, they have to be facing one another so that the IR ports can "see" each other. I had three of them sitting in a triangle shape, and that worked. Also, obviously, face-to-face worked. But if the IR ports weren't properly aligned, the critters wouldn't notice one another.

I tried to get Irwin the Pleo to talk to Gizmo. Neither of them paid attention to the other, so either they never aligned their IR ports or they speak two different IR "languages". Unfortunately, I suspect that the latter is the case, even if I manage to figure out how to get the IR ports to see one another.

A Robonagi is sort of like a Furby. It learns over time, it plays games, it makes weird noises...etc. I have two of them. Heres a picture of one.

Furby's are really cute! It was so funny when a lady that cleaned our house picked one of the furby's up and it started talking away. Sure had her laughing. My husband said "oh no they are awake." They will have to be in my photos and videos in the future.:)

OMG! Olly just did something wierd.. I think this is sort of a Furby to Pleo talk... The Furby blinked. Seeing that there was no one starting any conversation, the Furby started a talk. Olly looked away, and broke the connection. But I think we're getting somewhere..... :)

hahaha. yeah the other day my mom moved my furby to clean the table it was sitting on and i had the same reaction :eyeroll::-Dlol
