Hey everyone I just got my new pleo today and had a few questions about him. Firstly he likes to sleep alot! I upgraded him to 1.1 straightaway so I don't now if that has anything to do with it. Im really not entirely sure how to wake him up? i try stroking him but he just lifts up his head then goes back to sleep again. Also do any of you have carpet flooring and does your pleo manage to walk on it because mines struggling abit lol! and finally how do you know when the battery needs recharging?
Thankyou for any help you can give

If You Dont Play With Pleo He Will Go To Sleep, Standby Mode.
A Good Thing Is To Get A Balance Between Playing With Him And Leaving Him.

Thanks for your reply. I keep trying to play with him but he still goes to sleep could it be because the battery needs charging?

ok it doesn't matter if the battery isn't totally dead yet then. i know that sometimes you can damage the battery if you take it out before it is fully dead

Should take about the same amount of time to re-charge. An it may take several charges for your pleo to really get into staying awake.

its supposed to be one hour, but once my pleo macon went for two! also about walking on carpet, i taught macon and yasmin to pick their feet up higher when their on the carpet. It does take awhile though. good luck! :)

any tips on how to get them to lift their feet higher? thanks for all the help by the way and doesn't it get annoying when it takes 3-4 hours to charge the pleo and then you only get 1 hours play? is they any spare batteries you can get so you can always have one charged for longer play?

actually, yes, you can buy some extra batteries for $50. also to get them to lift their feet higher i pressed the backs of their front feet/legs and eventually they got the idea.

Your Pleo is still a baby through a couple of battery charges and like most babies he will want to sleep a lot.

Since you've upgraded to Life OS 1.1 you can activate "High Step" mode by holding both of Pleo's front leg sensors (above his knees) and touch his Pleo Button. The Pleo Button is the little round button right next to where you would plug in the USB cord.

As to the battery, it can develop a "memory" so it's best to try to let it run all the way dead before recharging.

Have fun with your new Pleo and keep us informed on how it's going. :-)

You can find new batteries for Pleo at the UGOBE Store (http://www.pleoworld.com/getpleo).

If the pleo isn't very responsive is it because its tired or is it because the battery is low?

It could be because of either of these things. Since your Pleo is so new he could just be ready for a nap. One way to tell if the battery needs charged is to turn Pleo off and then back on. If you shake him to try to wake him up and he only lets out one snore then it's time to charge the battery. :-)

Yes, as long as it's turned on then Pleo can wake up from a nap on his own. :-)

Another thing for the carpet walking. A lot of us had that problem. We made little booties out of saran wrap or ziplock bags so their little feet would slide over the carpet better. I just cut up a ziplock bag and hooked it on with a covered hair band around his ankles. I found that I only needed to put them on the back feet to help on the carpet.

so all we need to do to make my "remi" steps wider is to just hold his two front legs + press the pleo button once?

Does that mean that the back feet are the drivers and the front feet are the.. Um, passangers? XD
