Hello everyone, I have been a member of Pleo World for a while now and have finally purchased my Pleo today online so will be expecting him next week. I am a great lover of Robots (some would say an addict lol) and own four Sony Aibo's named Eric, Keo, Yori and Eddie. I am really looking forward to owning a Pleo as I find them charming and believe that they have a lot of potential. I will post some photos and videos when he arrives, also of him interacting with the Aibo's which I am looking forward to seeing.

I have a few names that I am thinking of calling him but not sure which one yet. He also has a collar ready and waiting for him...very prepared lol.

Awww thats cute...someone on the Aibo Forum named their Aibo Padfoot. I really like Yoshi but I'm guessing that is a pretty common Pleo name. I also like Monty. Will be one of the two i think :)

I love Yoshi and Monty to. Those are both great names for him! I forgot about Yoshi...he's so cute and bears a striking resemblance to our precious Pleo's.

Well here he is....I have named him Monty. Unfortunately I am already having problems with him, he was fine for about half an hour then he started freezing. He came alive again a while later but has started freezing again. I have tried turning him off and back on again but that did nothing. I will contact Customer Support tomorrow :( Well his first half hour was good he was doing his tricks and walking about. He has not been updated as yet. My Aibo's like to sniff him which is cute to watch

Well here he is....I have named him Monty. Unfortunately I am already having problems with him, he was fine for about half an hour then he started freezing. The freezing was probably due to you running out of battery power (well, Monty, not you). On the first charge the charger usually goes green after about half an hour, whereas many first time users take this as the battery being charged it really isnt6, and pleo will freeze up when he runs out of juice (usually 30 mins), so what you will need to do is charge it a couple of times untill you are getting a roughly 3.5 hour charge time, Monty will the run for the whole hour and should curl up and make a snoring noise once when the battery is finished.

He arrived this morning (Brand New) and i charged the battery for 4 hours or more. Had problems with the freezing after 30 min. I charged it for a second time after it had run down for 3 hours (it had gone green at 2 but thought I would leave it longer) and he did exactly the same. Froze after 25 minutes. I tried turning him on and off a few times but he would just freeze after a few seconds so I turn him off. I left him for 20 min then turned him back on and he lasted 15 min before freezing again. I'm not having much luck :( I have never had any problems with any of my other robots and they are between 3 and 9 years old and i bought them all second hand. I just hope I don't have to send him back already! :(

I have given Monty a chance before having to contact Customer Services... I also updated him after 3 Battery cycles because I heard it may cure the freezing but unfortunately it has not. I have run him 6 battery cycles now and only one of them he lasted an hour then fell asleep normally, all the rest he froze after about 30-45 minutes in the standing position with eyes wide open. I tried turning him off and then back on and he would move for a few seconds then just freeze again. Also every time I charged his batteries (4 hrs) I let them cool before using them in him because I thought it could have been an overheating issue.
I am going to contact customer services tomorrow about this but I'm pretty sure that I will have to end up sending him back which is a real shame :(

Well Monty seems to be ok i think...he has run 17 battery cycles now and just seems to fall asleep after an hour. Although sometimes with his eyes half open which is a bit freaky! I am really looking forward to the next update....Is it being released around October time? Seem to remember hearing it will be that month but I can't quite remember.

I am in the process of making a video of Monty and the Aibo's :)
