Hi lolasaurus,

What search engine are you referring to? Where did the message come up? While we dont have specific "child forums" here, we ARE extremely child friendly and things are kept safe here. :)

I can't seem to make it come up for me, but since we dont have child specific forums here, it's probably just one of those things that's on there as a "just in case" they are added eventually. I will do some checking though and let you know :)

We did some checking, and this appears to just be a default setting. :D

Lolasaurus, This forum is a great place for children of any reading age. For very young children some of the threads have adorable photo's and drawings.:).

Sometimes, when you click on one forum name, you find that there are some sub-forums under it.

For example, clicking on "Welcome to PleoWorld" on the main page will give you a list of four sub-forums to click on. Those sub-forums are "child forums" of "Welcome to PleoWorld".

When you're doing the search, it's basically asking you if you want to include any sub-forums that are contained in the forum you're searching.

Edit to add: Here's an example of a forum that I post on that has child forums. http://olpcnews.com/forum/index.php?board=4.0 The forum itself is OLPC User Groups (for the One Laptop Per Child project's computer), and within that forum there are several different users' groups, plus there are posts for topics that don't fit under any of the existing categories of user groups.)

Hope this helps. :)
