I have purchased a brand new Pleo from the Sharper Image in their liquidation sale. I think he is just great!/ I was able to purchase a display Pleo along with my new one for 10 bucks. I got him mostly for the battery as they said he does not work. I gave him a good looking over and have found that he is disabled through the removal of the power switch assembly. Otherwise. he is in perfect condition. I am wondering if there is the possibility of getting this part. The assembly I need can be seen if you search for pleo power switch in Google and then follow the first link.
I would post a link but apparently that is not allowed.
I may try to build one using a third party switch. but I may not be able to keep the temperature monitor intact as I believe it is part of the switch assembly.
Any thoughts from someone at Ugobe would be great!
P.S. I did contact CS as ugobe but the rep I talked to seemed to have little knowledge of the inner workings of the dino and tried to sell me a battery :-)

Well, never mind. I dug a little deeper to see what I could find and it looks like I got my hands on the actual dummy the store recieved to display. he is a nonfunctioning display missing half his guts. Kinda neat but rather boring :-). At least I got a cheap spare battery!

As I said before, I would love a non-functioning pleo. I just can't get the Sharper Image near us to sell it to me. :(

If it's like the one anim8ormatt got, it's missing a bunch of the innards, and is non-functional.
P.S., anim8ormatt, contact me! :)

Hi everyone,
I just wanted to post a reminder that the PleoWorld Forums do not allow selling of items in the Forums or Blogs.
This is a safety concern, in order to buy something you have to give out your personally identifying information. We discourage the trading of such information because not only do we have minors in the forums, we care about our adult members too and don't want to see something bad happen to you.
Anyway, like I said, just a reminder. :)
