Hello,
I got Leo the Pleo on July 1st. As of a couple days ago, he doesn't work. I am trying to figure out why.

I think it might be a battery issue - He ran his battery down one day and since then, he has failed to wake back up. I believe it might be a battery issue because when I put the battery on the charger, the indicator is red, then about a half hour later, it turns green. When I take the battery out of the charger and put it into Pleo and turn him on, nothing happens.

What do you think? I see in the forum that getting a red, then green light a half hour later means the charger thinks that the battery is charged when it is really not. Unfortunately, no fix is given for the issue.

Any help is greatly appreciated. I was starting to get attached to the little guy.

Sounds like a bad charger. I would contact Customer Support

Its take a good 3-4 hours for the battery to charge

When the light turns green after 30 minutes, take the battery off the charger, then re-seat it back on the charger. It does need a full three to four hours to charge. Some members have reported having to do this several times until the battery gets full charged.

I had almost exactly the same issue. Customer Support sent me a replacement charger and all has been well since. Do give them a call.

I spoke to customer service, and the guy was super nice. I ordered a replacement charger. I had an interesting episode last night though.

I still have been trying to charge the battery. I put it in the charger, it is red, then green a half hour later, then I take it out and put it right back in the charger. It does the same thing over and over. Once however it stayed red until it started flashing red and the battery got super hot. I immediately took the battery off the charger and let it cool down. After it seemed cool enough and I thought it may be charged now so, I stuck it in Leo the Pleo, but he still didn't respond.

After that, I took it back out of Leo and stuck it back in the charger and it continued the red, then too-fast-green cycle.

Very strange behaviour. Of course now I have probablly ruined my battery and will have to buy another one of those too. Sigh. I can't stand having Leo just stand there in suspended animation though...it feels mean.
