Uploading Images

Recently I can't upload images to my Plog. I don't know if other people can see them but on my View Account page I can't see the image that 'm trying to upload with my latest post. Plus it takes forever to post! Whats wrong? :confused:

I used the same camera to take all my pictures. They are all the same size and the other pictures uploaded.

Two ways.

1. If you have a web site, or upload your pictures to some site like flickr, just click on the picture icon (http://forums.pleoworld.com/images/editor/insertimage.gif) and enter the URL of the picture.
2. If the picture is relatively small (19.5K or smaller), you can upload them to the forums by going to the "advanced edit" option for editing posts and clicking on the paper clip icon (http://forums.pleoworld.com/images/editor/attach.gif) and use the Upload file from your computer option.

I know these instructions aren't very detailed, but hope they point you in the right direction.

Hi Sean,

There are some limitations as to what size and the type of images you can post on the Plog site. JPGs and GIFs only, with a maximum size of 2 megabytes. I know you said the images were the same size as the others you uploaded, but please try resizing your images down and re-uploading them. The long upload time seems to be an indication that the images are oversized. Hope this helps! :)

Thanks, it turned out the picture was 3.9 megabytes :o

Hi lolasaurus and an official welcome to the community. :D

If you want to put a full size picture then the picture you want to share has to be filed online. Open a new post, look above where you type in your message and you will see all the icons. On the bottom row, 5th from the right there is one that looks like a mountain and sun/moon. If you run your cursor over it, it should say "Insert Image" Click on that and it will open a new window where you can type in the URL of where the picture is.

If you want to put in a thumbnail and/or want to upload from your computer than scroll down under where you type in your message and look for "Manage Attachments" Click on that and then either browse to the file on your computer or insert the URL address.

This will put a small "thumbnail" of the picture in the post but other members reading the post can click on the thumbnail to see it larger.

You will need phptp editing software to make the image smaller.

Photoship will work, amd resizing is actually pretty simple, there should be a basic tutorial to help you .
