What is a "First Hatch?"

a first hatch pleo was an option way back last June a fist hatch pleo was a a limited time offer, where supossibly, yourr pleo came a little earlier, "which I'm not ure if that happened or not" and you got a golden identity card instead of a green one, it doesn't make a difference in the pleo though:)

Since the "First Hatch" was the first 2,000 pre-ordered back in June of last year, many of the older, long time forum members are likely to have first hatch pleos.

Or they may be from the UK in which case they could not get a first hatch, but they still may have a very early pleo.

Peeky is not a first hatch or at least one of the first 2000. He's not aware of this.;) He's loved just as much.:)

The only difference at all is the gold card vs. the green card. And, of course, bragging rights. :p

I do remember that! And they do look great by your profiles.:) I wish I had one by mine.:D I know Peeky doesn't care at all what color card he has. All he prefers is green and yellow.
A good test for tommorow will be if Peeky goes for his green card or my gold master card. Will let you know. We just might find out there's more to this AI then we thought.

Yeah, I don't think Pleos can count to 2000 yet, not even with the updated Life OS installed. ;) So I don't forsee any Pleos getting a complex because they came off the assembly line later than some of their fellow robo-critters. As long as they're getting their share of attention, all's right with the world. :)

I completely agree! Olympia wasn't a first hatch, but I have not a care in the world.

What happens if you have a First Hatch that breaks and Ugobe has to send you another one? If the serial number in the gold card matches the Pleo than you no longer have a First Hatch? I'm just wondering because it seems like a fair amount of them lately are having neck problems.:eek:

A First Hatch Pleo would be out of warranty by now so it would have to be replaced through the "Reincarnation" program. Because the basic pesonality of the Pleo is moved to the new body these would still be considered First Hatch Pleo's and the serial numbers would be taken into consideration. :-)

I think with the reincarnation program you only send back Pleo. You would keep the gold card.
