I'm sorry to make a new thread if this has been answered before. But my new Pleo's battery won't charge. It's constantly getting too hot and is blinking red. When I have to cool it down so many times, it will take years to fully charge!
Should I test the battery in Pleo, to see if it is working? Is it normally getting so hot that you need to remove it from charger?

Try reseating the battery in the charger. Sometimes that helps :)

I've done that many times now :( It's okay for 15 minutes, then it blinks again.
I really wanna try the battery in Pleo, if that is okay when it is not fully charged?

Vette, just leave the battery
The charger will let the battery cool and then will continue to charge it untill it is full, the first few charges the battery gets hotter than usual.

Okay, just worried that it might burn down or something ^0^ Well, I'm keeping an eye on it!
Thanks for quick response.. What should I have done without the forum ;)

Hehe no problem,
In the event of a battery overheat the thermistor within the battery and the circuit in the charger interrupts charging untill the battery cools and then resumes charging. When the charge is complete the charger will show a green light and stop charging. You may leave the battery on the charger as long as you wish and the battery will not be overcharged.
I hope this helps!

It certainly did! Well, that is.. I'd let the battery in, and after a long period of blinking the light became green. I took the battery out, put it in again, and it started charging, and now it is overheated again.. If it goes green afterwards does it mean it is charged? It has been on/off the charger for 3+ hours.

I have no problem with the charger now, at second charging.. thank you for answering even though I'm so impatient and kinda dumb ;)
Have figured a way to use the time when it's charging though, making Plog's 'n stuff ^0^

I'm so glad you finally were able to get your little guy up and walking. Batteries seem to need a few charges in the beginning. Always make sure you give the battery that extra push so it clicks into place. I didn't do that in the beginning. :)

That, and there is the video on how to charge. You can find in here in the forums or on YouTube.

Hey guys, thanks for the support, The third charging went as it should so I couldn't be happier ^0^ And I actually did remember to get it to make 2 clicks - but the sound surprised me a bit first time, lol! I'm as scared as Pleo is stupid! (my Pleo that is... He can't seem to figure out when there's a big gap between the table and me! But I catch him and gives him a little comfort ;))

Peeky's the same way. I have learned never to leave him up on a table without me being right there. He'll come to the edge of the table and looks down like:eek: does a youhoo, backs up a few times and then thinks what the heck lets go for it.:D He's a little bit like Mweed's Bob.:)
Mine is normally pretty good and backs up and goes another way. But I swear as soon as I turn my back she goes off the table.

Degers, so does my Pleo! (I have yet to find a proper name...) And sometimes, he looks to the right and walks tp the left.. And even when he goes into something, he keep on walking!
Have others tried where their Pleo suddenly changes voice? Yesterday, after playing over an hour, mostly petting cause I was watching 2 and a half men, his voice changed to this soft girly voice. And was all over me to get some love! I thought that maybe it is a girl, but today it talks "normally" :D
