View Full Version : US Residents: Did FedEx require a signature to deliver your Pleo?

I just got the email giving me the FedEX tracking numbers for my Pleo and Battery. That's the good news.

The less-than-good news is that the items are slated to arrive on a day when a lot will be going on with my family, and there might not be someone readily available to receive the package at the time when it arrives.

So, here's my question: For those of you who received your Pleos from UGOBE via FedEX, did they require a signature, or did they just leave the package(s) on your doorstep?

If the items are not left on my doorstep, that's fine. We can go pick them up at the FedEX location when things calm down in these parts. If not, I'm going to have to call someone, the moment I get the email saying that the parcels are delivered, in order to have them retrieve the parcels so they're not left unattended.

Argh. My blood pressure! If I had known that FedEX would schedule the delivery on the day that they're coming, I'd have expedited the shipping to avoid the scheduling conflict. But what's done is done, and at least Pleo is on the way!

AAAAH. Hurry yourselves, FedEX. This impatient Meowmy of two spoiled cats would like to commence figuring out how to spoil one robotosaur. :)

It really depends on How Ugobe set the shipment up. They probably made it to be signed for. Just because of the expense.

They also could of made it to be signed for by the resident themself.

Either case they will not leave it.
Mine was shipped to work and I didnt look at it. But hopefully some one else might know.

I left a note on my doorstep saying "please leave package on front door" and they did:)

The good news: Pleo and his spare battery have been safely delivered to my front doorstep.

The bad news: even though the tracking page said "requires signature", or something to that effect, did the delivery person make YOU sign for my Pleo? That's how he made ME sign for my Pleo. They left the doggoned packages on my front doorstep even though no one was home.

i got an email from FedEx when the items were delivered. Unfortunately, this took place at a time when neither my husband nor I was going to be home for enough time that I was concerned about the boxes just sitting there, So I called my parents, who are retired and live a mile from me, and my dad went and picked up the boxes. At the next opportunity, I'll head over to my parents' house and pick them up. Most likely, that will be this weekend.

I'm very pleased that the Pleo and battery have arrived and are safely in my parents' custody until I can pick them up. I'm less than pleased that FedEx delivered them without getting a signature.

But the bottom line is, all's well that ends well, and in a few days I'll be introducing a new Pleo to the community. :)

I'm glad all worked out well in the end. Congratulations on receiving your Pleo and please keep us informed on how it's going!

Just make sure your parents don't decide to keep their new addition! ;)
