I see that Peeky spends some time at a retirement center. I think I recall seeing one or two other people who have taken their Pleo to visit a hospital, a nursing home, etc.

How many of us do this? What a fantastic idea! I have (only half) joked about my theory of Cute Face Therapy for years now. It's the concept that it's impossible to look at the adorable face of a tot, a puppy, a kitten, a stuffed toy, or a picture thereof, and still feel sad. At least while you're looking at the Cute Face, you're having an "Awww!" moment that gives you a break from the sadness.

Well, Pleo would fit the bill for a lot of reasons, especially in a long-term care facility where people who have loved animals all their lives don't have the opportunity to interact with them anymore. He's cute, he's friendly, he's hypo-allergenic, he doesn't need to eat, drink, or go to the bathroom, he can't EVER get spooked and bite someone.

What a great way to bring Cute Face Therapy to people who might well miss having animals around! As he's a robot, he might even win the hearts of some people who are a little bit phobic around animals, not just the people who were softies for animals.

I'm thinking that people getting together finding ways to bring Pleo Therapy to the world would be a great idea. Hmm... Thera-Pleos? How about it?

Let's start the Thera-Pleo Society right here. :) When my recently-ordered Pleo arrives, I will happily sign him up.

I am in! I bring Baybee to a Senior Summer Beach program and people there treat him like he is really alive!
They even asked for him a week later and was disappointed he was not there that day!
