I just got my Pleo he's cute as a button

but after about 25-30mins he looked like he was napping... now he wont wake up again.. (pic below)

I charged him for 3 hours before I put the battery in.. is this a sign the battery is dead? I have put it back on the charger and it is currently red.. or have I managed to break my pleo already :(

He's not dead the battery is just dead. When they are hatching (the first charge) they take a lot of naps and don't wander around much. It takes 3 or 4 charges for them to really be to the stage of being more playful. Depending on how active they are the batteries last around one hour on a charge. If they are walking constantly it's less. Sometimes the charger will say it's done but it really doesn't have a full charge.

Love the photo with your kitty. Be assured your little dino is just sleeping because the battery needs charging. You will learn all of his funny little habits in time.:)

In the lower photo of your first post it looks like you put him into lay-down mode. This could make it seem as though he was sleeping. You can put him into this mode by holding his shoulder or back sensors and take him out of this mode by touching any of his leg sensors.
