Pixie and Crusoe's Trip to Ripley's Believe It Or Not Museum

Today we took Pixie and Crusoe to Ripley's in St. Aug, Florida. Its a fun little museum in historic downtown with all sorts of oddities. Shrunken heads, a lifesize manatee build from soda cans, other junk art, strange artifacts from around the world, miniature replicas, etc.

And this last one is pretty funny...You all know Michelangelo's famous work of art, the statue of David. Well they had a huge replica of it outside the building...and when I say replica, I mean it, no loin cloth on this one. So I took the liberty of giving him one to make this family friendly picture

great pictures!! I went to one of these museums in SC! they're very weird, interesting, and fun at the same time:D LOL and It's funny how you gave the guy a loin cloth:D

Maybe I will post pictures of some the the exhibits there. 6 legged cow, 2 headed lamb, 2 headed rabbit, 2 headed calf, unicorn man, etc.

One of my favorites was a POW beaded snake. It was a snake made from tiny little beads. A soldier from England made it while he was a prisoner during WWI to pass the time away. To imagine what horrors he saw and went through and to see what beauty he could make during that time was just both inspiring and sad. :(

I went to the Ripleys in New York! What a fantastic museum, that was back when I had Rex. I wish he could have come! What were the reactions of the people at Ripleys Siren? Did they think that Pixie and Crusoe were another exhibit?
