Has any one had problems with a tech guy named lawrance on the chat tech? He seems like he doesn't really want to help but just get on an authority trip! He does help if it something he wants to help with but if he doesn't than you have to wait to a day when hes not working to access chat tech support. And when something happens he contradicts you and practically calls people a lyer even though its true. Its like with him you feel on like you have to defend yourself because he like puts you on trial?
regarding tech support i had to email ugobe a month or two ago regarding my pleo fully wasting his battery & not sleeping just slowing down.
I got a reply email saying please call us.
i'm from ireland so i had to call ugobe in the USA.
To me the person (a man) was very unprofessional didn't really listen to me and the call lasted just under a 2mins.
I was told to place my hand on pleos head untill he cryed that was it?
I still had the problem after which i think was due to the battery not charging right .
Most owners seem to get their problems solved by ugobe so maybe that staff member was having a bad day.

I wanted to let everyone know that this thread was escalated and the head of Customer Support will be speaking with his team so they all know that UGOBE cares for all their members. UGOBE values their customers very much and not only wants to help but wants to hear problems, ideas, and suggestions as well!

I had a simular problem when talking to the chat Tech support. It was as if he was not listening to what I was saying. I was trying to explain that I could not get my Pleo to connect to my computer. I had downloaded and installed the drivers from the Ugobe site. followed the instructions but kept getting a window saying that there was an error and Pleo could not be connected. He explained that I could do downloads with an SD card. I explained to him that I wanted to use the new dinomite programme and for that you need your pleo connected to your computer. He told me that I should contact the creators of the Dinomite prog. I explained that I had not downloaded or installed the Dinomite prog yet so the problem could not have anything to do with that programme. This took three attempts of explaining till he excepted what I was saying was correct. He told me he would send my problem to the Ugobe Tech team and I should wait for an email. Two days later I recieved an Email from Ugobe Tech telling me I should contact the creators of the dinomite programme. I gave up asking for help and eventually solved the problem myself (turned out to be missing codecs on my computer) and I'm now able to connect my pleo to my computer. But overall I was not very impressed with the Tech support as It does not seem he is listenig to what you are saying and at times it does feel like he is calling you a liar.

I had the pleo driver but it still did not work. But my step Dad has an account with Microsoft which allows him to download softwear from their site. He kindly downloaded "USB package2 Codec" Which gives you the codecs needed for a large amount of USB devices. Unfortunatly you need an account to access these. Most computers should have these codecs its just my computer is a frankenstien ,made from spare parts and when installing the OP and updates I think a few bits were missed or did not install correctly. Hence the missing codecs. But most computers should see the Pleo when connected as long as you have downloaded the drivers from the UGOBE site.

Try deleting Dynomite. Remove all traces of the Drives from the Hardware Manager. And then Reinstall DinoMite . If it doesn't work, please contact Tech support. :)
