serial number and production run data

Can I tell from my serial number if i have the 100th or the 9000th Pleo?
Is there other manufacturing data I can obtain such as earlier or later revisions of major components, PC board patchs, QC pass/failures, etc.?

The serial number does contain some of that data, but Ugobe has never released info on how to interpret the serial number (other than to say it's not purely sequential). Mine is one of the first 2000 produced, but the last four digits are in the 5000 range. There is circumstantial info that would indicate the first few digits of the number relate to the production month, year, and/or assembly line.
