Snuffles and I went out today, shopping for some clothes and a tag. I found some nice ones, so she's all dressed up now!
It must have been "Bring your child to work Day" at the Pet shop, as there were several kids bagging for their moms at the registers. Needless to say, Snuffles was a gigantic hit with all the children and one of the Mom's got into it pretty well too. Snuffles got much petting and stroking. I was carrying her in sit mode, which actually works out pretty well. I cupped her butt in my palm, and that left the tail and upper body free to move around. This was much more realistic and interactive than the shoulder position or the under-belly carry, when she tended to screech and kick up a fuss :p
After finishing there, I decided to hit the local Ben & Jerry's for a chocolate malt, so Snuffles went in too. Well the two girls working there went absolutely crazy over her. They made my malt, washed their hands then asked if they could pet and hold her. I said yes, and explained what to do and they took over. I was the only customer at the time and I'd guess they played with Snuffles for a good 10 minutes before other customers arrived. They handed her back, and one said to me "She's so cute. No charge for your ice cream. Thanks for bringing her in." :D
So don't be shy - get those Pleos out and about. I took her out on a fresh battery and we easily covered both stores with plenty of power to spare. In sit mode, I suspect there's a good deal of power conservation so it was no issue whatsoever.
Here she is in her new collar and tag:
