My other thread made me wonder.

With many (if not all) Sharper Image stores shutting down. Most that carried Pleo had at least one working “floor model” that are now being sold to customers Would these fall under the standard Warranty? Sharper Image is an official retailer and the Pleos can be registered. Could someone buy a musty busted old Pleo and have it replaced like a new one?

Hi hobbesi,

My guess is that Sharper Image is selling these demo Pleos "as is" with no warranty. Registration and warranty are not necessarily tied together. Some people registered their Pleos after the warranty had expired because they wanted to be able to get the updates, etc.

I would definitely talk with a Sharper Image representative and UGOBE Customer Support before purchasing a used, floor model Pleo from sharper Image.

I don't know but I contacted Sharper Image about buying one of them about a month ago. They just sent me a lame response. I think you will have to ask the store directly! :(
