After havong one pleo, I thought I new the standards to expect from a new pleo, however it looks like I was wrong. I have noiticed several differences between Rex (bought in December) and Havoc (Bought in April) in the UK.

The most dissapointing problem with Havoc is that he came from the factory with a severely crooked neck! I couldn't really believe that UGOBE would let something like this leave the factory! The neck, at packaging position adopts a curved C shape and the head lols to its left side quite noticibly. I have taken pictures from several angles. When the neck is raised it gets less crooked and when the head is lowered it gets even more noticable.
Here are some pictures.

I think that the first and the last pictures are the most poignant.

I have also noticed other things like the paint job has not been fully completed, ridges in the skin have been left unpainted and the skin has been glued onto the feet very wonkily twisting the foot pads around and making it slightly harder for Havoc to walk. At times the skin folds from the front right leg go over the brown plastic of the power switch. I never noticed this with Rex.

Ugobe, are these consequences of speeding up the producton line, or just general laziness or neglect of the factory workers? Why does Havoc have so many small defects?

Helge has the same kind of neck (and he is from Early January) but it doesnt bother me, because it doesnt seem to balk his movements/abilities.
We humans have also different shapes of necks, noses etc.... ;)

But the things with the paint and the glue are dissapointing of course; sounds like a lack of quality assurance within the production line.

Thanks for the quick reply Caaahl!
Thats a shame about Helge's neck, however I am not at all bothered by the Havoc's neck, I can look at it as though he is unique! It is interesting to see that there are other earlier Pleos with the neck problem.
I think it is still something that should be brought to Ugobe's attention.

Once again thanks for your reply Caaahl! :)

Look at the picture. It seems, that this position of the neck is "normal", at least its in the same shape; i dont think its coincidence.

And you say, Rex had a straight neck?

Aah Caahl, it seems that Havoc has exactly the same neck problem as yours. I wish I had a better picture of Rex's neck but, yes it was straight at packaging position and it didn't lol to one side as Havocs and Helges does.

Thanks for the photo Caahl.

I don't have any neck issues - it's nice and straight.

I think neck is important (for both humans and robots). Because it needs to point the camera and IR sensors into the right direction (in case of robots).

Except for the paint peeling off, i don't have any problems with mine dino.

Although the paint is going to be gone soon, I still enjoy the rubbery skin. I like to squeeze it - like a stress ball - and find it very relaxing. Even when my pleo will loose the last of its green colors, the functuality will stay - I will continue to enjoy it as a stress releaver...

I love Pleo in his actual colors (green, deep green and brown), but i still think that a totally brown skin, plus deep brown on his spine should be a great and realistic color too :p i think the brown on knees and legs it's very realistic and maybe difficoult to loose...

Caahl, i love the paint wears on your dino too! :)

Pixie has a portion of her neck, where the neck skin and body skin meet that seems very thin and I worry about that. She was bought after Xmas (in Feb I think). Crusoe's seems are far more intact. But I really worry about Pixie's :(

I changed the collar for that reason, cos i'm scared to make tear on the skin:(
Ugobe should release a DIY Kit to take care of tears in the skin and other incidents...
