My Pleo was purchased in USA and I live in Australia with 220 volts....Did not come with transformer.
This isnt dual voltage is it? I am afraid to plug it in until I get the right adapter/transformer

Can anyone help?

No it is not dual voltage. You will have to get a 12v transformer which can be bought at Dick Smith easily.

Also you do realise that you have no warranty on your Pleo, Ugobe will provide no support at all to you and you cannot purchase a spare battery which are now available because (according to Ugobe) you have voided all of this by taking it out of the U.S.A. So pray that nothing happens to your Pleo and that your charger and battery don't suffer from the same problems that have been reported on this forum.

Hi swell,

No the US power Adapter is not dual voltage. It is only meant for 110 V AC. If you contact Customer Support on our website they may be able to assist you. <TABLE style="WIDTH: 335pt; BORDER-COLLAPSE: collapse" cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=0 width=446 border=0><COLGROUP><COL style="WIDTH: 335pt; mso-width-source: userset; mso-width-alt: 16310" width=446><TBODY><TR style="HEIGHT: 12.75pt" height=17><TD class=xl65 style="BORDER-RIGHT: #f0f0f0; BORDER-TOP: #f0f0f0; BORDER-LEFT: #f0f0f0; WIDTH: 335pt; BORDER-BOTTOM: #f0f0f0; HEIGHT: 12.75pt; BACKGROUND-COLOR: transparent" width=446 height=17><a target="_new" href="http://pleoworld.com/support"><b>Customer Support</b></a></TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>

Just buy a step down converter in your local electronic store (or just search for "step down converter" on ebay)... You can get one for less than 10$.

Dick Smith is a well known electronics store here in Australia. As I mentioned the OP can get a transformer from there very inexpensively. Just take the charger into Dick Smith and they will provide the equivalent one, no probs.
