Some of you already know that may Pleo (Yobe) wants a mohawk. That is fine with me. I know it won't be hard to make it, but rather how to get it to stay in place NON-permanently... Any ideas?

so you decided to name your pleo Yobe?:) good.. I think you made a good choice:) as for a mohawk, there is one pleo owner "caaahl" who's pleo"crazy Heldge" has mad scientist hair. you should ask him what kind of glue he uses:)..

I know... thats wha gave me the idea but I think Yobe would look best with a mohawk.

Anything sticky may pull off paint on Yobe's head. Perhaps a tiny piece of elastic sewn to each side of the mohawk will hold. Would have to be sewn on the part closest to his neck.:)

That is a good idea! I could try to disguise it as a necklace! No? Yes?:D

It would probably be too far up his head to be a necklace. :(

maybe green and yellow painted elastic to camouflage with his skin.

Not a bad idea... or maybe something similar to fishing line? But fishing line may cut his skin if pulled too tight.

More like elastic covered with cotton. Hobby shops and sewing stores have this kind of elastic. Would give a lot. You don't want it to cut into skin.

Obviously. My mom and I have started to make it. Sadly, we don't have many things available to us so we are going to have to straighten curly hair... but it is plastic so flat iron is out of the question (why do things always have to be so hard:mad::confused:)

I visited a friend's home today. Her little pouch has a mohawk. They put hair gel on it sometimes to keep the hair from falling over. That must be a so cute! You asked if we thought a Pleohawk would be cute. You bet! :)

Totally adorable! Too bad Pleos don't have hair... wouldn't it be easier? But then, every pleo would have a mohawk so then it wouldn'e be as fun. BTW... If I tried to give my dog a mohawk, he would bite my hand off and never talk to me again :D

If it's plastic try just curling it around a pencil or something the thickness for what you want.

I just went back and looked. I had asked Caaah how he attached Helge's hair. He used Fixogum which he says can be removed with some patience. I don't know if he has removed it from Helge or not though.

Hope this helps you.

Fixogum? hmmm... I'll look into it. If you take it off, will it take out his paint?? How do I take it off/ And how much patience? Still, thanks! Hopefully this will work fine! Oh, you guys may think I am being a little anoying, but I am just a devoted pleo parent! LOL :D

No, it wont take off the paint. At least, i didnt experience this with helge so far. ;) When you pull the wig to get it off again, there remains a thin glue film on pleos skin. So the adhesion between skin and glue is stronger than the adhesion between glue and wig (which has normally some kind of fabric on the inside)

The remaining thin glue film you can remove by gently rubbing with your finger on it. You can test it on a little spot to be sure in advance.

This experiences are only based on the use of "Fixogum" from "Marabu" and i wont take any responsibilities anyway. ;)

Good luck and greetings from Crazy Helge, too.
