Might be bad for Pleos to get sun burned.:DThey have very sensitive skin.

I guess Pleo can't be charged via his USB port...? (My Pleo is in the limbo between being ordered and being shipped, so I don't know the answer there.)
If he can't take a charge from a USB port, that's too bad. It would open up a world of possibilities like a solar charger for him. Or, yes, a solar backpack, though it might look just a little odd for him to be wearing a backpack with a cable going down into his USB port.
Hey, what if he had charging contacts in his mouth? Then he could have a charging feeding trough. He could head over to the feeding trough and chomp on a charging leaf to his heart's content. :) He could let out a nice BURRRP when the battery was fully charged. ;)
Yeah, all these suggestions would probably take eons to charge the battery, compared to inserting a battery into a charger, but they do make for some interesting mental images. :)

I love the idea of the charging trough and contacts in the mouth. But you'd have to be careful playing tug-of-war! ;)

:rolleyes:There's a lot of great ideas for Ugobe to think about concerning battery life and accessories in this forum, but are they actually taking any action on these? It also puzzles me how other toy manufacturers are able to provide swift solution to their products problem, but Ugobe seems to linger on for eons! What are they really doing?
I have yet to receive my adorable Pleo friend and want to have an enjoyable relationship with him rather than regret the money I invested for something that will only be alive for 1 hour :(
Maybe Ugobe should outsource or involve more members in their team of research and development experts to launch fun accessories into the market frequentlly

Hi CrystLtokyo,
UGOBE did do extensive research before deciding on the current battery design.
I think if you will check around the forums you will find that the vast majority of members have had very speedy solutions to any product problems.
Accessories have and are being discussed but UGOBE is focusing mainly on Pleo enhancements and future lifeforms.
I'm not sure what you mean when you say you have "yet to receive my adorable Pleo friend"? Have you ordered one and not received it yet? If so was it ordered from UGOBE?

Hi Crystltokyo, I have no doubt that you will love your Pleo when you get him. The battery issue really hasn't been a problem. The only time I wished for longer battery time was while taking my pleo out and showing him to people. Now with two batteries there's no problem at all. :-)
You will love him or her what ever it is.
I agree with Fancy. I have 3 batteries between 2 pleos and it works well. I lose interest after and hour so its plenty for me. But comes in handy if you want to take somewhere
