I just wrote a detailed plog entry following up on my daughter's Christmas-Day post entitled "broke" after some recent behavior caused me to think more about the shorting wire we had to fix Christmas morning. Although I don't think the defect is to blame this time, the experience did cause me to think about Pleo's charging circuit, the wire labeled "NTC" I now assume to mean "negative temperature coefficient", and to explain our problem and the fix, although it's a few months after the fact.
Since my plog post is rather lengthy, I'll just link to it here. (http://pleoworld.com/plog/show?id=3032)
(update, the permalink above loses all formatting, but still I use it rather than just linking to our plog so that in the future it isn't displaced by newer plog entries. That said, to read the post in more readable paragraph form, go to our main plog page and scroll down to the details on "broke" entry. (http://pleoworld.com/connect/view/id/2716)
