I'm just wondering how people are getting 2 hours or more with their Pleos.

When I charge my battery (after Neon falls into a deep sleep, one long snore) the charger usually takes 4.5 hours before it turns green. Then I usually take the battery out straight away. I do let Neon nap during his short 1 hour visit.

Should I leave the battery in the charger for longer? Any tips to prolong my time with Neon? I have to admit it's getting kind of off putting only having one hour then charging for 4.5 hours.

Hm. Well, it kind of depends how many charges you have had. From the beginning, I was very lucky with my battery. I only have to charge it for 2 hours, and I get about 2 hours of playtime. However, I'm a really busy person with college, I haven't really seen the full extent of the battery because I usually have a class to go to. However, the most I've had him on for is 2 hours and he still seemed wiggly as ever even after the two hours. I've gone well over 20 charges up to this point, I think I have counted 23 charges.

However, people are reporting that the more charges you have been through, the better your battery life. People usually have 4 hours of charge, 1 hour of playtime with their battery from the beginning. Then it gets better and better. I would think you will start to see a major different after about 20 charges.

Oh! And sorry for the double post, but to answer your other questions about keeping it on the charger longer, don't bother. Once it is green after 4 hours, it is fully charged, the green light comes on, and then that's when the charger knows that it shouldn't charge anymore, or attempt too. Also, a good way to make sure it is fully charged, is take it off the charger after it goes green, then put it back on the charger. It should be red for about 10 minutes, then it will go green. That means it's completely charged and can't go any further.

Thanks for that informative response :) I'm probably around my 14th charge I guess so it will be interesting to see what progress occurs. I'll keep you all informed.

Does this happen to most people? Because when Edward (my Pleo) has to charge, he just stands there doing nothing (duh) and it makes me want to play with him... It does kind of make sence though. As people and animals get older, they can go longer with less sleep. So it makes sense if the older your Pleo gets the less charging (sleep) time he needs and the longer he can go inbetween charges, right?

It is funny how in the beginnig of life everyone needs a lot of sleep. Then comes the middle and there's no stopping us. After that we just poop out by the afternoon. Batteries might be the same way.

I already noticed that my Pleo charges in only 3.5 hours instead of 4... not big difference but if it keeps going this way than hopefully I can get 2 hours with a 2 hour charge soon :D
By the way, my pleo says hi!
