First Hatch gold seal

I was just looking at some of the plogs highlighted on the community page, and noticed for the first time that one of them has a "First Hatch Member" gold seal on their page. I've been to many plogs of people/pleos who I know are first hatch, and never seen a gold seal. I checked the edit profile and edit account info pages and saw nothing to indicate how you mark your pleo as being a first hatch. My pleo came with a gold card, and I know it's a first hatch, so how does the system determine if a pleo is a first hatch?

My original thought was that there was something automated (like when you registered your pleo) based on the serial number. Or was this a feature added after most people registered?

There should be a gold badge that says "FIRST HATCH MEMBER" right under your picture of Rocky looking at the Sharper Image ad.

If you aren't seeing the picture there could be a couple of reasons. First I'd try clearing your cache and history and then reload the page. If that doesn't work then it could be that you have an older browser that is not reading it for some reason. :(

I'm seeing the badge on yours as well. If you saw it before you might try cleaning cache and history too and see if that works.

I don't think these issues have anything to do with Ugobe's programmers....more like some computers aren't compatable to read script like that.........right?

That's my guess as well. I think it's a browser issue. I know on my old computer with an old version of Internet Explorer I wasn't seeing everything that other people could see. Or some things I would see differently, especially allignment problems. These problems would happen at several sites all over the net.

I use Internet Explorer as well. To find out what version of IE (or most other programs) you have go to "Help." It should be up towards the top next to File, Edit, View, Favorites, & Tools.

When you open "Help" look on the bottom of the dropdown box and click on "About Internet Explorer" This should open a new window and will tell you what version you have, among other information. :D

You don't see it when you open your Plog? Hmmmm, I see it. Have we tried all the obvious, such as clear cache, cookies and history? What browser and version are you using?

You would think in the two months since I posted the original query my cache would have been cleared at least once. I just assumed you've been "tied up" with other things . . . ;)

But I will admit, the same page viewed from a neighbor's PC does show the gold seal. I have also tried IE6 from my PC without seeing the gold seal. Odd indeed. Could it be that you don't see the seal when you're logged in and viewing your own page?

OK this is strange, I have IE 7 and see it and I had Sauri try using Firefox 2.0.0.14 and she sees it. We have two more things for you to try. When your computer does a purge of cache and history does it also dump cookies? If not I would try that. The other thing to try is to sign out of PleoWorld and check your Plog as a guest to see if you see it.

I guess that's it. I log out and I see it. If I'm sitting on my plog page as a guest, the seal is there. When I log in (while sitting on my plog page), the seal disappears, and the rest of the page stays the same. So, the issue isn't the browser, it's if you're logged in or not.

Check out mweed's or pleoguy101's plog (or anyone else with a First Hatch Pleo) and you will see the first hatch seal. It will be near the top under the picture. It's a gold seal and says "FIRST HATCH MEMBER."

i know i am late telling you this but i bought 2 first hatch pleos. LITTLE SEPPI has his gold seal but JackG303/ REX does not and they are both FIRST HATCH. is there any way to correct this so my grandson can have his braging rights?
