Getting Pleo...

So I'm new here and I really want a Pleo! I saw it in Sharper Image and I asked the sales lady to play with it. She didn't give me any info about what it does or anything but I thought it was so cute! I couldn't believe the price! Well I looked them up online because I was really interested and found the cheaper Sharper Image price!:D Now I really want one and my birthday is in 2 months but I have no clue how I can ask for a $300 present from my parents! :eek: Pleo seems so wonderful but is he really worth the big price tag? He is sooooo hard to resist and I am a huge toy fan!;)

Hi Girl4God, If you have a VCR or DVD, you might ask your parents to watch or record Nightline on ABC at 11:30P.M. tonight. Will be all about Pleos.:)

I guess they want you to earn the money for what you want.. parents now a days, I tell ya:D:p!!

Someone ought to go back through the various threads and put together a FAQ or cheat sheet of all the reasons a parent should get their child a pleo. I know there have been quite a few suggestions over the last few months as curlycue97 is not the first person to ask . . . ;) :)

:) you should tell them you want it for christmas! im getting mine for christmas.............but....................to get them into it show them pleo world and how others feel about it then they should accept :D

You'll value it more if you earn it, rather than just have it given to you. Trust me on this one.

Speaking of earning, if you're really serious about earning enough to buy the Pleo, there are some things you might try in addition to just earning money from chores at home. How about tracking down if you can do some odd jobs outside the home? Maybe you can mow lawns over the summer, or work in a nearby store stocking shelves, or have a paper route. Show your parents that you REALLY intend to earn the money for the Pleo (and any other goodies you have interest in) and maybe they'll be willing to foot some of the bill.

But showing them, by your actions, that you're willing to make a real effort to reach your goal will go a long way.

I know, this answer is arriving a few months after the question was asked, but I only just joined the forums a few days ago. I've got some catching up to do. ;) Plus, the answers are still worth considering, for yourself or for anyone else who's in the same situation you're in.
