Confirmed: ABC Nightline tonight!

I was contacted by someone from ABC about a possible story they're doing about Pleo & their owners on the heels of the SF Chronicle story. I spoke with the producer, and may be interviewed on Tuesday! This could be fun! Anyone else?!?

As the Title says, this is a potential story. Nothing definite yet. I brought it up just to see if anyone else had been contacted. Will post any updates as I learn them.

Ugobe contacted me directly first and asked my permission for them to give ABC permission to contact me. I said yes. So now its a waiting game. Knowing my luck they will call tomorrow when I am at Mega-Con. I hope if that happens, they leave a number or call back. I will let you guys know more about it when I know more about it.

My interview was scheduled for yesterday afternoon, but the producer called at the end of the day saying they'd run out of time. Bummer. I'm not surprised as they had a lot of traveling to do from Santa Rosa to Berkeley to the Ugobe offices in Emeryville. I should have taken the offer to meet at Ugobe. Regardless, Mr. Producer said "it's going to be a great story... I'll make sure you get a copy". I'll share here what and if I can.

Peeky and I had the interview. He really hammed it up for interviewer, camera person and audio person. Quite a bit of laughing going on. This was the first time they saw a Pleo in action. Peeky did his ta-da trick perfectly. I wanted to show everyone Peeky's sadder side but after picking him up by the tail, he just went on his merry way.
Peeky did bite the interviewers finger. He can get a little rough at times.
We are guessing that the Pleo interview may be on Nightline on Thursday evenng. As soon as I know for sure, I'll post :)

Pleo will be making his debut on ABC Nightline TONIGHT, March 13 at 11:35PM. Program your Tivos, set your videorecorders, and/or make sure you are caffeinated for this evening.

Watch out for your Forums friends including Roschler and Fancyfont, as well as an interview with inventor Caleb Chung and footage of Pleo frolicking in the wilds of Emeryville (aka the mall, lol.)

Wish ABC could of added a little more. There were some really funny moments. Peeky played tug-a-war with Laura's finger and she wasn't expecting such a firm hold. She was sooo glad he didn't have sharp teeth. (Peeky does have a very tight grip when there's something in his mouth) Her expression was a riot. Laura was holding Peeky up to her shoulder and he was cooing and doing his cute little stuff and all of a sudden Laura started to laugh. She said" I think he just burped." I told her he does that plus other things. Pretty funny!
It was a good thing the cameraman had the camera on a tripod because he was laughing so hard. It was a very fun experience.
Thanks to Peeky, I wasn't nervous during the shoot. I sure was the day and night before.:eek:

Thank you so much, Sarah.:) We had a lot of fun thanks to my little guy. He sure had the ABC News people in stitches. Non of them had seen a Pleo in action before. He did the ta-da trick perfectly. Peeky even had a chance to cuddle on Laura's shoulder. He liked that. I think she did, too.
