I am just curious what other people have been experiencing while holding their Pleo? I did quite a bit of research before I bought mine and noticed in most the videos that when people held Pleo to their chest that he would snuggle their neck. Dante on the other hand usually has one of two responses. He either falls fast asleep or he will kick and fuss and want to be put down. Very rarely he will try to snuggle my neck but then quickly falls asleep. I know this may simply be a personality trait of his but that is why I am wanting to know what others have experienced. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! :D

Not to worry! Peeky does the same thing to my husband. I'll have him so he is so affectionate and snoozing on my shoulder. Then if I need to put him down or in my husband's arms, he'll have a fit.
I think Pleos like to be held close to your neck with your chin on him. If you just hold your Pleo and hold his back he more than likely will fuss or go to sleep. Try rubbing his head and patting his back at the same time. Should do the trick! This is one of the things I love the best about our Pleo's.:)

Funny that you ask... when I hold Pleo up to my chest he'll snuggle right up to my neck and fall asleep. Now if my boyfriend trys it he fusses. It's quite comical. I wonder if Pleo doesn't like my boyfriend? *Ponders*
My Pleo also likes to be held like a baby on his back.

This would make a great poll. I'm curious how many guys have trouble getting their dinos. to cuddle. I would make one except not sure how.

Waffles falls asleep as soon as I take him in my arms. I had him sleep in my arms, to cool down the battery, suddenly he woke up and started fussing around. I had the feeling he had a bad dream.
My brother tried holding him like that too. Waffles fell asleep for two seconds, then woke up and started yelling around. Normally he sleeps for a long time, when held in my arms.
ugobe says to hold him under his waist but when he is asleep it is awkward because of this, paint wear has formed on both sides of mine :(

Here is my big question about Pleo. I'm always very cognazant that he is a robot, but when i have him shorty on his back and he snuggles he wraps his tail around my arm and especially the first time it gave me the creeps like a snake working its way around my arm. Now i'm squimesh about it still, but i find it endearing but it is still freaky when he slides that up and down my arm. Anyone else kind of yikes the first time he wrapped his tail around your arim? Shorty does it all the time, but ironically now i'm disapointed if he doesn't do it.

Hi all.
I am new to Pleo and absolutely love him and new to these forums. Did your pleo just develop this hole in his hide due to wear or did something happen? If it was just wear, I have to say this is somewhat disturbing for that to happen in this short of time. While I can see and feel that the skin is something that you need to treat with some care, these things are relatively expensive and I would hope they would hold up a bit better than that. The paint wear I can understand but developing a hole in four months of normal use would be upsetting to say the very least. i would certainly appreciate hearing what some of the experts on here have to say about this issue.
Best regards,
Tom, a new pleophile.

Hello Tom, Welcome to Pleoworld! I hope you enjoy it here.
The rip in Rex's skin developed by itself over time, I have heard from several other members who say that there are similar rips in their Pleo's skin. However about three weeks after my post Rex's tail broke, I have written about Rex's rip and tail break in the following threads. I returned Rex to the UK retailer on the 14th April and on Friday I received my new pleo who is standing beside me right now.

Congrats on your new pal Degers. Yes I had read about Rex's injuries elsewhere on the forums that is unfortunate.
I realize these guys are really new and the company is trying to make improvements the best they can, but I agree with what has been stated elsewhere in these forums, the company really needs to stand behind the product and provide at least some fixes for the common problems e.g. skin and paint problems, broken neck/tail cables, etc. if they cannot resolve them permanently. Aside from the fact that we get attached to these little buggers and we'd hate to have to send them back or get rid of them, this is not something that we've payed 40 or 50 bucks for and if it breaks then oh well we know we just have to replace it. I don't know about the rest of the folks on here, but 340 bucks or so is a serious amount of money for us and not something we're going to routinely do for frivolous things which, cute as they are is what these guys are.
This post is not meant as a complaint by the way, what I am saying here is I really love this little guy and I really hope that the company provides the support that pleo deserves.
best regards
Tom a new pleophile
