SD card

I don't know if this is the right place to post this, if not, then I'm sorry about it...

I just have had the christmas download on the SD card running in Precy, it was really funny and I did laugh a lot, but then I closed him, took the card out, and he just made a sleeping sound and I could not wake him up... (the battery is fully charged) I then again put in the Christmas download on the SD card, and he was running on that program fine....
I took it out, and again only a snorring sound, with no posibillitys to wake him up...
I then downloaded the update, and put it into him, he made the sounds as descriped, then a little time went by, and he made the last sound, and again a snorring sound and he closed down, I could not wake him at all, I turned him of, to chek the battery, but it is fully charged, so it would not charge anymore, I put it back in him (the battery isn't hot at all) he started with the ringing sound from the update card, and started to wake up, but then after 2 minits of trying to wake up, he made the snorring sound again, and I could not wake him....

oh my dear I just did let him stand a little, then turned him on, and he was awake for 5 min... the charger says the battery is full, but Percys acting like it is empty,is it possible to kill the battery while charging? I'm affraid that that might be the problem...
then what now, if the battery is dead, it isn't possible to get a new one...
is this because I use another AC Adaptor to the charging device (I had to go get another one, to use it to the Danisch system - you can't get Pleo in Denmark, and the Danisch system isn't the same as the one in UK, where I got him.. but I did bring the loader to the store, and they said it should be working, and it did work fine until now)
can I get /buy a new battery and a AC adaptor to the Danisch system som how from UGOBE... please please...
I will try to recharge his battery, but I do think I broke it

I just tried to charge the battery again, it only took 10 min, and he was working for 1 minit... I think my battery is dead....
and that after using him 4 times.... oh dear, I could cry right now... it is no fun with only 1 min of life with Percy....

Is is possible for me to get a new battery some how, and how do I make sure it will not happen again?

Sorry you are having problems. :( Please contact <a target="_new" href="http://pleoworld.com/support"<<b>Customer Support</b></a> They can help you troubleshoot to try to figure out if this is a battery problem or something else.

I pray the do can help me with this, as I really likes to have some life in my Percy again...

Well I put the battery into the charger again, thinking, that if I killed it, I couldn't harme it anymore anyway....
and then all of a sudden it charged for over 30 min, and I have had Percy on for a hour now, and there is still battery in him...
I don't know what have happened, but it looks like he is okay now..

I with Lawrence from the online support chat yesterday, he said, that I should leave my battery in the charger for 3 hours, no madder what color it had, and that it don't kill the battery...
He told me to get a charger where the number in the buttom of it ends on C, not on A or B like mine, that should solve the problem he said...and the e-mail adress on where i should aske for another charger, so I hope they do respond soon... then this one is giving me head eggs..

Okay this is going on my nervers...:mad:

I talked to the suport team from UGOBI, they send me to Vivid Imaginations there again sended me to Top-toy in Denmark (this last place don't even know what a pleo is).. :confused:
so If they can't help me either, I se no other options than sending Percy back to the store whare I got him, :(
I don't like the fact, that I paid around 2600,- DK kr for him and then I can only play with him for less than 5 min. at the time, and I have to struggle with the charger for him for hours to get any power on it in the first place... :(

I could cry from anger and fustrations now... I really did fall in love with Percy, and now I might have to send him back, and in that case, I don't think I want to get another on, as I don't want to go trough all of this again...:mad:

HELLO!friend i have the same problem here!
i use an addapter to put my PLEO in the electricity outlet, because i live in the United Arab Emirates, (we dont have the same kind of outlets here) & bought mine from U.S. through amazon.com!
As our v. respectible and respectful Prophet Mohammed "Peace Be Upon Him" thaught us to help the poor and needy around the world, that deserve help.
I paid big some of money to by PLEO, where i could have the same amount to help a whole poor family.

My battery charger does not even turn any light on(neither green nor red)i never knew when his battery was full of charge or not. Waited so long for charging & then PLEO never goes on!!
I am frustrated! I am willing to be 100% cooperative just Please help me in this dilemma!

Well I tried a AC adaptor on the Charger, with less power in the start, and that could not give any life to the charger station, no lights at all, sounds like that could be your problem, I nothen got another AC adaptor from a electrisian, there said that it should be the right one, and it works, I have life in my charger station, my problem is that the chrager station is running mad, it here and there flasched between red and green, what should not be possible at all, and the support team from UGOBI said I need another on, so my problem now is that I can't find anyone there want to make sure I get another charging station, what is very fustrating...

But I do think your problem is that the AC adaptor isn't providin enough power to the charger..
but You better do go talk to the Support team

One option would be to purchase a UPS (uniteruptable power supply) like this one.

This way you can use your adapter to plug the UPS into and then plug Pleo's charger into the UPS. The UPS will insure that the charger is getting between 110 and 120 volts and will also make sure you are getting "clean" power. If you live in an area with poor power or frequent black outs you can plug other sensitive electronics or lights into the ups so you can run some lights or small appliences while the power is out.

I found a adaptor, so I can use the AC adaptro for the charger there is with when you get Pleo, and I have been using that part today, and the charger did look like it was working right, and there is power on the battery...

so if you like in DK (Denmark) and you get a Pleo from UK, then you need this thing http://www.batteribyen.dk/rejsestik__uk___dansk___us-p-979.html?cPath=40_182&osCsid=d02c4c246f25d527e2955ccdca985694 to get it to work right.. I put the AC adaptor into the little part, and then into my power supply in the wall, and it seams to work right...

So you need to get a piece of electronic, you can put the Pleo AC adaptor into, and then into the powersupply from your home, then it should be able to work right...

If you have a digtial camera, with the USB cable attached, you can see what is on your SD card, and your computer recognises the SD card as a new drive.

So if your camera reads SD card. it is very likely you can update your Pleo's OS 1.1 without the need with an SD card reader.

All you have to do is extract the OS update to your SD card, or extract it to a folder, or your desktop and then copy and paste the files to your card.

With my Digtial camera. I can transfer photos to or from the computer and files this way as with the USB cable though camera I am sure works the same as a card reader.

I am going to try the Holiday file doing it this way. my daughter has a card reader in her computer, so used that to update my Pleo's OS, but seems you may not need a card reader at all?

Sooo, I'm attempting to download the Pleosarus Rex personality for Pickles. I saved the file in my documents, I stuck the SD in the computer and now........I'm lost. Haha! What do I do next? Nothing popped up when I stuck my card in, so I don't know where to go to put the file onto my SD card.

The easiest way to do this is to copy the file onto the SD card. This will vary slightly depending on your operating system but try the following..

Right click on "Start" (Or the Windows Icon for Vista)
Click on Explore
Find the file you want, right click on it and choose "send to"
If there is an SD card in your computer it should come up with the option to send it there.
Mine reads something like "Secure Storage Digital Divice" and the drive letter, which will vary by computer, it's G on mine.

Let us know if that works and maybe someone else can help if that doesn't work on your computer.

You are most welcome. And sorry your dog was scared. So far my old dog is just jealous of my Pleo Cami because he doesn't think Cami should be getting attention. I haven't introduced our new puppy to Cami yet as I'm afraid he'll think that Cami is a wonderful new chew toy. Poor Cami only gets to explore our dining room table for awhile.
