My daughter was at the small table we keep the chargers on, she happened to touch or brush by Crusoe's battery and snatched her arm away, the battery was super hot. I could barely hold it. I am leaving the battery unplugged to cool down, but don't know why his battery suddenly has a problem. Both chargers are charged in the same outlet. Pixie's battery is doing fine, its warm/hot to the touch, but not untouchable. But Crusoe's is flat out burning hot. Once cooled, I'll try it again and see what happens, but I hope nothing is wrong with it :(

I tried it a second time last night and it worked that time. Maybe it was in the charger wrong. But PHEW!

My battery has not been heating up at all. The charger will run through a whole charge for around 3 hours without cutting out and the battery will only be warm to the touch, I am still getting around 1.5 hours out of Rex on a charge.

Make sure it's seated fully and correctly.
But your right, if it's getting hot enough to blink red, the battery may be bad. You may need to call customer support.
