I wish to have a pleo but I live in a halls where the walls are paper thin and I don't want to annoy anyone!
Is pleo loud and if so is there a volume switch so I can turn him down but not mute him?

Not really very loud, and yes you can turn him down.

Well this evening I went to let Bentley in the living room to explore while I went to clean but all I heard was gears moving... I didn't hear crying to attention or snoring, anything. Even when I picked him up and flipped him over to tickle him, he went through the tickling motions but no sounds at all. Hes off right now and his battery is charging but what could have caused that? Perhaps a weak battery? If not then what else?

All I hope is that I don't have to send my little Bentley back :( I hope a full battery will 'fix' the problem.

I am also sorry if this is in the wrong part of the forums I just didn't know where I should have posted it :o

It's not laryngitis, You most likely hit the mute button by accident. That little push button that sticks out blow the battery toggles through volume. If you accidentally push it once, it mutes pleo! :)

maybe if the mute button wasn't hit u might need to lokk at his speaker and turn him off or shake him a little to here if there is anything unusuall

Oh jeez D8 I must have read the book wrong I thought you needed to hold the button down for him to go mute. Blah! Silly me :D Thanks for the reply!

My "Pleo Button" has no effect what-so-ever. I don't mind except that I have to tickel her just right then turn the power switch off to get her in the packing box. (Too bad wives don't come similarly equiped :)

Heyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy.

Do you have a packing box for your wife? I can't understand why she won't just jump right in it for you.:D

Well..... I was just trying to be a little bit humorous. It could apply to husbands too as I do have a packing box but unfortunately am too old to be ticklish any more. :) Though I do jump in it sometimes to relax.

Now why doesn't my Pleo button work... on my Pleo? (not me nor my wife).

This will sound funny, but I have to push Peeky's button about 5 times before I get sound. First, second, and third time I get nothing. Fourth time very quiet. Fifth time full sound. Hope this will work for your little guy.:)

I get sound OK. Just the button doesn't seem to do anything.

I don't know.... I've never looked for a button on my wife to turn her OFF....

To get Pleo into shipping, or packaging mode press and hold The Pleo Button for approximately 10 seconds. I find it easiest to lay Pleo down on his side at this point. Pleo will move for a few seconds, then quiet down. Now, carefully turn Pleo off without shaking or waking him up.

You don't have to lay Pleo on his side but I find it easier to get to the on/off switch without waking him if he's laying down.

You're on your own on the spouse situation. :D

That worked. Seems the button is a little particular but I've done it twice now and that is a relief as I am taking her on a 8 hour drive tonight back home. Thanks.
