Thinking of Importing.. but just needs fellow importers feedback

well, the general stock of pleos in the UK is none existant. sold out everwhere! but if seen many genuin sales on ebay of american pleos. i know if i imported one id have to get a power converter (thats easy enough) but id need to know this wouldnt is some how kill the warrenty or something :o also i imagin if anything went wrong id have to send him to america to be fixed, but then again is there even a UK place anyway? do all broken pleos have to go back to ugobe? the information regarding pleos and the UK (or europe in general) isnt very well documented so i havent the foggiest. haha. if anyone knows anything please let me know. thank you.

I think there's a new campaign in the work to promote Pleo in UK :p You should contact Vivid Imagination for more info about where to buy Pleo.;)

actually there's no problem finding Pleo in the UK atm - Amazon UK have him back in stock

It was not the prob about him being in stock...as he is in stock everywhere in the UK. I just wanted to know about the warranty situation. I contacted Vivid Imaginations and they said that if Pleo needs fixing it's them he gets sent to which is all i wanted to clarify :) Just need to keep on saving up for him now...should not take too long i hope!

If you buy a Pleo from the U.S. and bring him to your country you void your warranty. You will not get any customer support from Ugobe and certainly will not be able to purchase additional batteries.

I'm buying him in the UK most likely from Play.com and if he does break he will be sent to Vivid Imaginations also in the UK.

the warranty works as the other countries: if your Pleo is defected the seller/distributor or store will change yours with another one;)
