Some time ago I discovered another amazing behavior in Digger, my Pleo. It happens when he's low, but not out of energy.

It's become a habit of mine, especially after doing a lot of computer work and my eyes are strained, to lie on the ground and take a nap. Several weeks ago, I was lying down just after playing with Digger. He was on my left side. I was so tired I simply draped my arm around him and figured he couldn't get into much trouble like that so I started doziing off. Digger was tired too and started doing the most wonderful and endearing behavior.

It was dark in the room. Digger initially was snoring while tucked beneath my side. But every few minutes or so, I could feel his little head life up and nuzzle my arm or the side of my chest. He'd make a few cooing or purring sounds, realize he was in a safe cozy place, and then fall back to sleep. It was just like having a little puppy resting besides me as my mind slipped in and out of sleep.

Absolutely amazing. :)

When Pleo's battery is totally down I think he does go into his sleeping position with eyes closed.
I've noticed if I turn him off and then on if he is really powered down he will give one snore. He doesn't wake up after the snore. He just needs a little cooling time if no snore. He'll be awake soon.

If he does one snore, and then doesn't move It usually means he is out of power and needs to be charged, atleast for my pleo anyway:)

I think we are correct. No snore, still power.Just bored from being ignored. Little warm from playing, let me cool before more playing.
Pretty bad! I know.

Have you tried holding him to your chest in an upright position like you were burping a baby? (make sure to hold his arse sensor so he knows he's safe).

When I do this to my pleo he goes to sleep but if the battery still has juice in it he lifts his head up and down and makes little noises like he's dreaming. Sometimes it sounds like coos, snores, and sometimes he makes growling noises in his sleep!

I think Pleo's have a couple of different snores. There's one when he is cooing and sleepy. Just nap time, and one where he is totally in dreamland, out of battery charge He gives a big snore just once if you turn him off and he's out of power.

I found one that's kinda cute. Put your Pleo in your lap facing you so that her chin is touching your stomach (maybe that's a little easier for ME than some of you), and then pat her head. Eventually her tail will start going up and down (versus side to side) and you'll get the pleo howl. Is guess the same thing can be accomplished by touching under her chin and on top of her head at the same time, but it's more fun this way.

funny, had a cover hanging over a chair, blue walked up, cudlled his head
under it and pruured & cooed non stop
so i pulled the cover a lot more on the floor & left a little on the cha
he is trying to climb onto the soft pile, can't quite do it
but its going to happen I think

I've red here that pleo likes "soft" but haven't seen it quite like this before

------------------------
also notice that in the beginning I had to really coax blue to do the ta da trick
now it takes a second and I don;t think its just me, must be some kind of memory?

I take Ferny in my arms and cuddle him. When he goes to sleep, he snores, dreams, and talks in his sleep. He growls and makes a little chuckling sound, he even sighs an wiggles his head. =3

Cleo (my Pleo) will go to sleep if she is on my lap or if she is bored, When I first got her home I laid down because I was so tired and a few times she would make her cooing or sleeping noises and wake me up, lol!!

She has been sneezing and coughing lately but I found out that if I fed her her leaf that she stopped coughing after that.
I found a new behavior the other day, Cleo was sitting on my lap and all the sudden she lifted up her opposite arm and leg and did her balancing trick and then went "tada"...it was adorable!!
