Does anybody have any ideas on how I can keep mt pleo clean? I hate having to pick dog hair and other small things on floor off of Ferny's skin.:(

The rubber skin is bad about collecting hair and other items off the floor. You can make sure you have a clean area to play with pleo. You could also put a cleen sheet on the floor to put your pleo on.

Ugobe reccomend using a water dampened clean soft cloth to clean pleo if he gets dirty ;)

I am enjoying Lucy's company, but have noticed a small problem: her chin and part of her throat are already getting dirty. I try to keep my hands clean when I pet her, but that hasn't helped. I tried to clean the areas very carefully but that did nothing. I do realize that soft rubber can get dirty very easily.

Does anyone else have this problem? I wonder if rubbing a clean eraser under her chin might help shed the top rubber "epidermis"? Right now this bothers me more than the paint wear.

Any ideas, suggestions?

Thanks!

To clean Pleo, use only a damp cloth and wipe gently. Do not use soap or any other cleaning agents.

The eraser would cause alot of friction on the skin and could damage it.

I also agree, a damp sponging is needed nothing too harsh or hard on the skin.

Thanks for the tips. I will try using a damp cloth.

...Sorry if this isn't the right place for this, but I looked and this seems like the most likely spot.... :o

Recently I was out running errands... and was carrying my dino with me, like normal. :D As expected, a whole group of kids were petting and paying attention to him.

Which was no problem until I noticed--two seconds too late! :(--that a few of them had raging colds. Sniffling and coughing and hacking all over my dinosaur! So, as a paranoid Pleo-friend, I really want to somehow clean him. And I'm not sure that a damp cloth is gonna do it.

So is it safe to give him a quick douse with Lysol or something to that effect? Thank you so much in advance! :D

you should use a damp cloth, without detergent :D

I would tend to agree with junkroxy.

I'm not sure what the ingredients are in anti-bacterials, but I'd be afraid that they may include bleach or something else harmful.

I personally use a slightly damp hand chamois (for cars) with Brita filtered water (tap water contains chlorine). The chamois will reduce lint as WiiGoBeʻs body has a tendency to collect animal fur, human hair, dust and lint. Also, I pat to clean his body (instead of rub) and then allow him to completely air dry before playing with him again. Battery, of course, is removed.

Hi Valkerie, I think certain chemicals break down rubber. I don't think the paint is so much of an issue about cleaning Pleo.

I have had my Pleo for 4 days now and I see small wear marks already. I have had a dirty chin also so I did as mentioned in the care section I used a damp cloth to get the dirt off and then a little powder but the way I spread the powder was with a soft flat 1" paint brush! That worked and I am hoping if it is taken care of the peeling can be kept under control?
I do lots of work with Latex and wondered if anyone has tried tiny spots with a Liquid Latex ?? Clear or colored?

You should use damp cloth only, and pat his skin to remove dirt. Generally i use solvent for cleaning glass ONLY for the plastic part on pleo's feet, but (Remember NOT FOR THE SKIN!) :)

i dust both my aibo and pleo with a clean make-up brush... like a blusher one... seems to do the trick actually, i get quite a lot of dust of pleo that way, except for carpet fluff on his feet, i have to pick that off.

Whenever Baz gets hair (or white chips from his teeth) on his skin I use a can of air to blow them off. It works really well for everything except dirt smudges.

I clean pleo with a damp cloth but I think sometimes the flaking of the skin would get worser.
