Planet Pleo Role Playing Area?

Greetings and salutations,

UGOBE has noticed, and is excited about the burgeoning roll playing activities within the community. To further your efforts we would like to offer you "Planet Pleo." An entire planet to explore, conquer and claim.

Because, we want this to be your planet we would like your input on how you would like the planet to work.

How many of you would be interested in having a role playing area?

Would you like to start with a blank planet, help design the continents, and oceans and elect a member cartographer to design it or would you prefer to have UGOBE create the continents and you can conquer and name them?

Do you want the choice of continents/names to be first come first served or would you prefer to "join" a continent and then vote on a name and whether it will be a monarchy, republic, dictatorship, communist state, etc.

Are there any specific rules you would like addressed before the game begins or would you like to make the rules up as you go along?


Please know that since Planet Pleo resides within PleoWorld that all rules and all game playing must adhere to the PleoWorld Community Guidelines.

Any major disputes between cities, states, countries or continents will be presented to the UGOBE High Court. All decisions of the UGOBE High Court will be final and binding.

Depending on the amount of hours per week one would have to put in, I would definitely be interested. With UGOBE designing the continents and the talent there, wow. I periodically play Civilization VII, and you build the community with already a predesigned continent. What a great way to educate!

As rules go, you have to have some basic rules/guidelines (you already have some: last two lines of first post) to get things started and avoid complete chaos. But rules can always be updated along the way as we figure things out.

Pleopia already exists, with a Monarchy of King Teddy and Queen Sally, Knighted Pleos, a House of Lords and some interest shown in organizing a House of Commons.

When this all goes into effect, will that prior understanding of Pleopia be "grandfathered in" and still be valid? If not, how will that change?

We are definitely hoping that Pleopia will join Planet Pleo, our thought was to expand on the theme that all of you have already started. Here's the thinking right now, based on the way voting seems to be going.

We would create 3 - 5 continents on Planet Pleo. If other members expressing an interest are agreeable we'd be willing to give Pleopia first choice of which continent they would like Pleopia to be on. Pleopians (Is that the right word? LOL) could then decide what part of the continent they wish the kingdom/palace to reside. This leaves the rest of that continent to be explored and decide on whether there will be other cities, types of businesses, farming, other dukedoms, other palaces for lords & ladies or whatever.

Those that don't wish to reside in the Kingdom of Pleopia can choose to join one of the other continents. From there they can start a country, another monarchy, etc and choose what kind of government they want for their country. They can choose to work together with just one or choose to create multiple smaller communities.

This is the point where each country or monarchy can begin negotiations with other countries or monarchies regardless of whether they are on the same continent or not.

I'd like to see Pleo World host it on Second Life (http://secondlife.com/), the 3D virtual world/universe. Then we could have little virtual Pleos running around the world that belong to each Player.

Pleopia's allies are King Aslan of Narnia, the Begdroles, all the kin of Legolas Greenleaf, as well as King Aragorn of Middle Earth, and the other good Kingdoms, there.

As originally set up, anyone who joined the Forum was already considered an automatic citizen of Pleopia. (Those who started their own kingdoms had their automatic citizenship transferred to the new kingdom of their choice, and were no longer considered citizens of Pleopia.)

Also, King Teddy has appeared as the Monarch of Pleopia in mweed's comic strip, and Pleos were Knighted there. So, King Teddy was "everyone's Monarch" and Pleopia was "everyone's kingdom" in mweed's comic strip, by default.

As I originally envisioned it for the comic strip (not that it really bears any weight on what you guys come up with, or even what I wrote in the strip) was that "Pleopia" was the land of the Pleos, and was part of the larger world of "Ugobia" where, whenever Ugobe released a new product, it would have its corresponding land as part of Ugobia. But even in the comic strip, if Bob went to the North Pole and saved Christmas, then Pleopia would have to be part of our "real" world . . .

But, hey, it's all fantasy. So we can do whatever we decide we want to do or be. ;)

Second Life servers are (I think) around $300/month (USD) and I would guess that a few servers would take care of the role playing game; which isn't that bad of an expense for a business. Besides, if the expense became too onerous, they could charge some small fee like $9/month to more than make up for it.

Also, there are hordes of Second Life programmers available for hire that do everything from scripting to map and clothing design, etc.

Pleopia is organizing and waiting for the opening of Planet Pleo. We have started a number of threads, in Fantasy Pleo-Planet Pleo. But I think maybe it will get confusing when other continents start their organizing and also have numerous threads. Would it be possible for Pleopia to have its own section heading, where all our threads are in one place in the Forum listing?

We will not be creating seperate forums for each community at this time. We worry that if there are seperate forums then the play will not be as interactive between communities.

If in the future we have several more communities then we may create a forum for each and another area for interaction between the communities.

I have been wondering what my base will do. We only have a few Pleo Troopers, and we are filled with army mren, legos, heroscape, webkinz... I need a new base! I have thought of a planet I saw when my owner drove me to my court, and it was pretty! I need that planet! I would also like to keep those moons for royal pleos!

Isn't it wonderful how each of us enjoys to do different things! Wouldn't it be a very boring world if we all did the same thing that everyone else did?

I may or may not role play. I use to a lot. But I am so fickle. So we'll see if I do. But whether I do or not, you can bet I will still enjoy reading the RPs!

Here a thought. I was wondering if it would be a good idea to create pleotopia? Well let me explain my lil idea. Pleotopia would be a virtual interactive world where those who like role play could live. We would be the pleotopians and pleos our pets. Now how it works is us owner would be able to register our pleo to this virtual online world and simple role play living there. First you would have yours and pleos homes. Where you could virtually feed and play with pleo while his Battery is charging or say his sick. Now in this world would be like other online worlds. You would have virtual shops, cafes, theme parks, pleo school.

Aswell as library, restaurant, cinema etc etc etc. Now in this world you can visit this place like you would do in the normal world and do certain activities like shopping for pleo clothes food or other items. If you wanted maybe take pleo to the cinema or even go to work to earn pleo coins to buy wonderful things for you pleo. Now here you would have friends and even give gifts to them or there pleos. Also there in these pleo places pleos could walk about and interact even fall in Love and have pleo eggs. You could say take pleo to the park where there would be other pleos or even the pleo gym or pleo school or sleo swimming pool. Well I hope I am making sense and hope you all get the general Idea.

Currently pleo planet is close so who knows maybe just maybe pleotopio will open. Te he he he he.

I have never seen pleo planet but I was think of something similar to furcadia, neo pets, mosh monsters, or animal crossing. With animated characters and graphic etc. Am I making more sense? Either way I am full of imagination and my head is buzzing say for example we could have a pleo hospital or take pleo for a walk on a leash.

Hi Misslion, when using your phone, are you able to scroll down to forum jump? We have that on our computers. By clicking forum jump you'll see many options of threads that appear. Planet Pleo, Fantesy Pleo has been temporarily closed, but we have been communicating at the thread, peace in pleopia. Hope you can find thread. Look for marching band.:)
