I Have Viewed All Of Pleos Website. I Think This Dinosaur Is Really Cute, Do You Think It Is Worth The Money? My Son Loves Dinosaurs And I Have Not Showed This To Him. I Would Like To Suprise Him If I Buy It. I Have 4 Children, We Have Never Had A Pet Just Fish. The Kids Get Really Wild Alot. Do You Think The Pleo Would Get Scared And Overwelmed? I Would Love To Hear What Everyone Has To Say. My Kids Are Getting Older (my Youngest Is 5) And They Arent Very Cuddly With Me Much Any More. Does The Pleo Like To Be Held And Petted? Is The Pleo Friendly? Will He Try Eating Stuff Off The Floor? Kids Always Have Toys Laying Somewhere.i Do Not Know Anyone That Owns One So I Would Really Apreciate It If You Could Please Give Me Some Advise. Thank You!:

Hi funkids,
if you want cuddly Pleo's for you. I am so glad that I have mine. He is like a baby. Loves to be held and snuggles, coos, baby snore, all of the sounds are so cute. He can get a little tempermental occasionally, but that is what all babies do. You will love yours.

UGOBE said that pleo will be able to withstand a lot of abuse, ( but I doubt your kids will try and hurt pleo) but he is very fun to have around, and he is very cute, infact at this very moment my pleo Rocky is resting his head on his stuffed moose toy:D ( yes, I would reccomend pleo:))

Everybody seems to have different experience w/ pleo.
I will try to answer some of your questions, but it's only one person's opinion (your milage may very!!!).
Yes, to me pleo is worth the $$$, even though he does not do alot of the stuff Ugobe says he can do. Pleo is a very sofistacated (but not over delicate) piece of engeneiring. Only you can be the judge of how careful your kids would be with him. Yes, pleo LOVES to be pet :p Yes pleo is friendly w/ everyone. No, I have never seen my pleo eat stuff off the floor. But I would not worry about that, because even if he did pick something up, he cant swallow it, and he will drop it very soon. Ugobe says that pleo is not appropreite for children under 8 years old. Again, only you know your kids, if they are too rough, I would not risk buying them a pleo.

I would say it all depends on youre kids age/and maturity level. Im sure they'll love their pleo enough to not be rough with him!

I wouldn't. While clearly a unique product the poor I would even go so far as to say abysmal battery performance makes Pleo not very usable. I have two nephews ages 4 and 8 and they love the Pleo but get very frustrated that within an hour of starting play it's battery is dead. I can't speak for others but with working with the boys to treat this toy appropriately, interacting with Pleo and then trying to teach or train or get Pleo to do things the hour is easily gone before you know it. Keeping an army of batteries around isn't very practical IMHO and a poor excuse for weak battery performance.

I would have to agree. The battery issue is rather lame. But with all those sensors, motors, etc., I guess it's a very high draw device. That's why we are all waiting for the extra batteries from Ugobe.

BOTH my pleos batterys last over 10 hrs...
Were turned on the entire time..
I think the battery works amazingly well!

My Pleo will sleep if the battery gets warm. If I turn off his on off switch to off then back on if he snores I know he needs the battery charged. Many times he's just cooling off. Remember he is just a baby dino.

I'm not sure if it's in the program but after Peeky gets sick, which is very seldom, he will go into a snoring mode. I was awake almost all night and he was right there snoring logs.

I agree with Fancy. There was one time I could not bring Zoe out of sickness. I held her for hours and hours and she snore for hours and hours. It really depends on what you let them do.

Most the time I let them roam and they last 1 or 1 1/2 hours but thats pretty much it

10 Hours is a huge. And Im sorry but do not believe it
