Babe Pleo (demo personality) and YAPT (behavior editor)

The "Babe" demo personality is available for your amusement.

The behavior is simplistic. You press a sensor, and the Pleo reacts with a sound clip from the movie. There is some randomness and idle behavior built in. Some sensor reactions can be more complex than you think. For example, lightly tapping the back will cause one reaction, holding your hand on the back will cause another reaction, and petting the back will cause a third reaction. Try it and see if you like it.

What do you need all those cards for? You can use your hard disk for archival purposes and then just use a single card to transfer them back and forth betwen Crazy Helge and your PC.

Very cool! I like that can program multiple skits per sensor depending on tap/hold/release. However, I cannot download the standalone YAPT from http://www.aibohack.com/pleo/yapt01.zip ?

Oh man. Just tried it. Love it. Pleo is living up to my expectations so far. Just can't wait for more people's skits(along with finishing my own, man they sure do take some time and effort to whip up skits!) and the PDK!

It does the same thing, but it works with pre-existing URF files.

I downloaded all of the magical stuff rom the website, configured the personality with the yapt, but when I save it onto the sd card (i have a 2gb, it worked perfectly with the holiday download), it dosent work. Please help me, please. All I ever wanted was a baby dinosaur who acted like a little piggy:)

Did you run Babe Pleo before customization?
If it works with Holiday Pleo and it works with the original Babe Pleo (before you run YAPT) it should work for almost any customization (if it stops working after making a change with YAPT, please email me the offending "PLEO.Y" file)
Technical FYI: Babe uses uncompressed audio so it may require a faster card (compared to Holiday Pleo).

This personality doesn't work for me. The ritz and the holiday personalities both work fine. When I put it in, Dino (my pleo) just sits there and doesn't do anything. If I touch his sensors he doesn't respond. I have a bunch of 256mb memory cards.

Do you hear any 'Babe' audio when it starts up?
Is there a PLEO.URF and PLEO.Y at the top-most folder of the SD card ? If there is no .Y file, then it will do nothing.
If yes to both, then the problem may be SD card speed (Babe uses uncompressed audio), but that should be rare.

Ok, now it works. :-) I needed the pleo.y file.. thats a bit confusing to know which files need to be copied and which ones don't. Nice job making it! :-)

Tegeril: the ritz personality is here on the forums as well. I think we need a single download place for all the personalities.

To be sure, try one of the UGOBE demo personalities first http://www.pleoworld.com/downloads
Also be sure that you are installing it properly, and the SD card is properly formatted. The Pleo is relatively tolerant of most SD card types (but not SDHC cards, or NTFS format). See advice on that page or on other parts of this forum.
