I know the hosts deleted the old pre-order forum and threads, so PleoWorldHosts, if this is in-appropriate, feel free to delete. ;)
Shortly before Christmas, the Target web site mis-priced pleo. Some forums members ordered these less-expensive pleos. Target apparently canceled some orders right away, others reported receiving their discounted pleos. Well, a full two weeks after placing an order, at the time they were ready to ship them to me, Target instead sent an email canceling my order. I have spoken to Target's customer service and have sent a letter to them.
What I would like is to hear back from forum members who placed orders for these pleos and how Target responded to thier orders.

Hello,
I placed an order with target and my order was also cancelled. They told me about a fine print clause on the web site, noting that if an order is mispriced at check out , the item would be corrected at the time of shipping. I spoke with their web customer service and they could not resolve this issue, so I have also written Target's Headquarters for a possible resolution. Most reputable companies honor their advertised prices so we will see Target's True colors.

They sent me an email saying the mistake was made and they would not let a Pleo go for $349. But I hadn't had my credit card go through yet. I can't see how once you enter a credit card that they can change it. Especially if the disclaimer is not on the page. It is false advertising and there are laws to hold businesses accountable. That's why when you get the ads in the Sunday paper, if you find an error on it that is a good deal, you can then get the item for that price. Only way they can cover themselves then is to post signs saying the correction. But if they don't have those signs when you go in there, you can get a deal. And the store had to honor it.
The false advertising law was created because years ago a store (forget which), would put fake prices in its ads, to get the customers in the store and then they would say the item was sold out, didn't come in, or the price was wrong and get you to buy other, higher priced items. Once exposed, the government decided to pass a new law to stop businesses from false advertising.
yeah it was a company in the uk called SCS they sell sofas they got really hefty fines and have to check all of their advertising now

I ordered two Pleos from Target online at the sale price of $159.99. I received an email confirming my order with an estimated ship date of Jan 21. A few days later when I noticed something funky was going on with their website with the link to Pleo (it somehow was the description of Pleo but a picture of a movie projector), I called Target to ask exactly what they were going to ship to me. They said that they would look into the situation. Later that day, I received an email that informed me that they weren't sure what product would be shipped, but if I didn't want whatever item was sent to me, I could simply return it according to their return policy. I called Target again and explained that I didn't want a projector, but I did want the Pleo which I had ordered. Fortunately, I had printed copies of my order when I placed it, because I had all of the information that was no longer on their website such as catalog #'s and ASIN #'s. The customer service rep said that I would indeed be shipped the Pleo and not the projector. Then nine days later, I received an email from Target telling me that there had been an error, and they were cancelling my order. Sure enough, when I entered my order number on their website, it no longer existed. After I was able to get my blood pressure under control, I called Target again to express my disbelief and dissatisfaction with the way the transaction had been handled. After a detailed explanation of the entire transaction including names, dates, phone calls, emails, etc. (believe me I was not going to give in), they finally agreed to ship me the Pleos that I had ordered at the sale price. My ear was literally sweating by the time I hung up the phone. They shipped them the next day, and I now have two very happy little boys that own Pleos...phew!!!
